The Lüm is a limited edition experiment with elements of the Slö Reverb, Lore Reverse Reverb, and Fable Granular Generator.

I like these sounds, but I imagine you could cover most of the same ground without grabbing a small batch release (600 units).

Hopefully, they'll make an expanded version of this in the future that's not a limited production.

Red Panda is teasing a new pedal release this year. The IG image is a sliced-up version of a prototype of their RD-1 Pitch Delay (the mini-Raster-ish one). Slicing suggests something on the Particle spectrum.

which reminds me that for the first time ever i saw a guitarist using a Particle-type sound and now i see how you could use it in fairly normal settings. this was Múm at the Atlantis in DC.

Dropping on the 27th...
Glou-Glou updates their take on PLLs. They're moving away from the filtering of the earlier Moutarde and focusing more on fuzz and grit, rather than leaning into a pseudo-synth box.

300€ / $350
Too bad we have an idiot ruining everything with senseless tariffs, so this clocks in at about $420 USD after fees.

Has anyone else been eyeing the Pocket Scion?

Pocket SCÍON is a portable device that captures biofeedback data sourced from contact with living organisms. This data is used by an onboard sound engine to generate evolving soundscapes, a range of MIDI messages and biofeedback data which is made accessible via the accompanying desktop application.
Anyone can create, shape and enjoy music with Pocket SCÍON, regardless of existing musical experience. Despite its stand-alone, plug-and-play interface, experienced or adventurous users can use the MIDI and OSC output capabilities to integrate Pocket SCÍON into their studios, installations and audio-visual projects.
Pocket SCÍON includes instruments created exclusively for the device, made in collaboration with Tarun Nayar (Modern Biology), an ecologist, musician and prolific user of our Eurorack format SCÍON module.

Weird to see something like this come out of Glasgow. Seems interesting, thanks (as usual) for keeping us updated of things!

Elektron Tonwerk
I watched a few videos on this and I am baffled by this. It doesn't seem bad, it just seems like its features could've been added to most of their other products via a firmware update. It increasingly feels like elektron is more interested in creating arbitrary differentiation between their offerings instead of creating good instruments.

You're welcome. You've got the Glasgow Synth Guild locally, too. As far as I know, MacBeth is still based out of Edinburgh, so Scotland's not totally off the map, when it comes to the synth world.

Beetronics is venturing into the delay space with a 3-mode offering (classic, lo-fi, pitch options). They've taken cues from other BBD classics + pitch-shifting delays and added note subdivisions and performance features. This one sounds quite nice in its first demo. Pre-orders are open now for the Bee Bee Dee, with it shipping in two weeks (October 6th).
It delivers 600ms of clean analog delay, but with tap tempo, you can stretch it up to 2 seconds - pushing into wild, degraded territory.
[2x] doubles the delay speed, pitches everything up an octave, and returns when you let go.
Tap for latch. Hold for momentary. It's a hint of PITCH mode but on demand available on any mode.
$300 (standard in green or limited black), $400 (non-promotional custom shop pricing, various finishes)

Sequential Fourm is a 3-octave (37 keys) analog synth with 4 voices. It's based on the P~5 and the Pro-One. The compact synth with analog VCAs (unlike the TEO or Take 5) sports slim keys, polyphonic aftertouch, and 128 presets.

Okay, the analog VCAs are different. Still want to see head-to-heads with the Take 5. Current new prices for the Take 5 are only $300 more for an extra voice and onboard effects.

Looks pretty dang sweet. Right in Moog Messenger territory price wise. I like how everything is laid out.
Btw, thanks echorec for keeping us updated on all this new stuff all the time- it’s a free service that I, and others I’m sure, greatly appreciate.

even after watching demos the SCION thingy still puzzles me beyond the basics. i'm mildly appalled that there's no cover for the battery compartment. i lack their confidence in the dexterity of the end users and wonder what kind of tape would stick but not fuck things up if it slipped and wrapped around the sides. tiny, yes, but not really "pocket" in my world. i'm very surprised at the price point, though...i was expecting more like $400. since i'm not at the point of doing synth stuff yet it would really only be a toy for me now, but it's a really nifty toy. given my predilection for small synth-ish noise-making boxes i can hardly say no, though it makes no sense in my master plan at all. i find it more interesting as a really peculiar touchpad device than as a way to jam with mushrooms, though. putting this concept on hold for a minute.

not that i’m opposed to jamming with fungi, but adding living things to my fx lineup is a level of complexity i’m not prepared for. might help me lose weight if i listened to my food before eating it, though.
