well, i think parameter modulation pre-existed CBA (Boss multieffects for one), and is becoming more common in other fx, especially those with flexi expression arrangements or midi control
it'd be interesting to build a Habit inside Beebo or Zoia
that said, the CBA designs seem to try to walk the line between full tweakerization and user friendliness - obviously there are many who want to jump on that line, but i can also see other preferences taking the fore for folks too....
i do appreciate the balance for many of the pedals which is encouraging of exploration/intuition as well as analytical overdrive - that's why i'm looking at the pre-release tease
but i see why that balance doesn't feel right to others
i do hope it gets past the stage it's been at where there's a "surprise" release and then a mad rush to jump in whether you're really ready to commit or even fully understand what you're buying
in the early days of the company there was more air on both ends - the features were easier to suss out from an image; and the decision to buy wasn't as time-pressured
in the end, the last few releases didn't engender positive feelings for me even tho i bit on a few of them.
who knows--these are purportedly in the hands of dealers - maybe that will significantly change the second part of that equation
