My wife is upstairs on a zoom (while I am downstairs exploring outward v2 :yay:

...and one of her friends husbands had a pretty bad case of coved so he got on and they were asking questions. He said basically his fever was so bad that at night he couldn’t sleep cause he really felt like he wasn’t going to wake up. He said he could barely move and all food tasted like nothing...like sour...and no smell.

I am starting to waver on if we all had it before we knew about it now based on some news coming out about it being here earlier. My daughter had a mystery illness that had all the right signs on March 10th...and the. We had a weird stomach bug that came w chest pains pass throuugh the house. Who knows...either way our strategy of not getting it remains. That and now I have a blooper on the way to me :idk:

Tennessee is gonna stay the course on opening Friday, even though we had the biggest one day jump of infection in the state so far. As much as I'd love to go back to work, my happy ass is gonna stay home.

Looks like Texas is going to do a rolling re-open with businesses allowed to operate with 25% occupancy and then medical offices and churches can re-open as long as they practice social distancing. Review cases reported in two weeks and determine whether to go to 50% occupancy at businesses or go back to lock down. I like the spirit of it, but if they are relying on the honor system for this to work... :idk:

We are fukt until a vaccine. Do your best to not be a pawn in the game of fits and starts of "opening back up" because I have friends and family who died during this...never has life/death been so meaningless. Funerals are zoom meetings if at all. Conspiracy theorists will deny that your death even happened. If you are one of the unlucky ones who needs a hospital, you will sit alone barely getting any attention from the overworked and defeated medical staff while your loved ones worry about you. The good news is that your Dr will probably write you a xanax script if you just call and ask for one :idk: - stay strong, stay smart, and continue to trust in science!

I don't know that I can live through another recession/depression. I only just got my head above water after the last one.

I agree with you fully. I've had this discussion with many people and some are family members. I think I said it a page or so ago but even people in my own family (not in my household) were saying it was fake and my uncle died from it. Doesn't even make sense. There's no logic there.

I wish there was an antibody test I could get right now. That way, I could know if I had it. I know I could get it again, but at least I'd know if I'd been through it or not. That sickness at the beginning of the year made me wonder. Four weeks I was sick with something respiratory and no fever.

We are set to open here in KS on the 3rd or 4th I think. I haven't really look at to what capacity yet. They are actually talking about it on the new right this minutes. The MO side I think is the 15th I believe.

I'm nervous, but I don't know. I wish they'd just legalize pot right now. There's your Xanax script you need. That would make things easier to cope with for a lot of people but nah, they'll pump you full of benzos instead.

This whole thing sucks. Just sucks.

I live in a flyover as fuck area and people are behaving like I remember San Fran. They're out in their yards like it's a park throwing horseshoes. People are rolling on hoverbikes looking at the sky while others are crop dusting their mailboxes with disinfectant. The fast food restaurants and hardware stores are complete zoos. Now you don't have pressure to make annoying small talk with assholes, it's pretty great imo.

Elon Musk started whining about the fascism of social distancing today, maybe this will finally be the trigger for all the I Fucking Love Science nerds to get off his dick.

There was just a fucking parade down my mother fucking road.. fucking fire trucks and fucking police and a bunch of fuckers in fucking cars, blasting fucking sirens, horns and marching music... the fuck! This is a fucking dead end road... there is no fucking reason for those fuckers to be fucking around here.

Clapping cheeks for carers would probably be more appreciated than honking and parades

Folks are posting photos of them having a good time out now that the restrictions have been lifted. I can't wait to see the spike in cases.
