There's one in the BST.
I somehow got on Artist pricing or something similar today. Maybe a glitch on their site? Obviously I couldn't order but it was a 100 bucks cheaper. That would be fucking awesome.

There was one on reverb. There's a bit of learning curve with the ottobit for sure.. I'm digging mine but I feel like I don't know what I'm doing half the time. There is definitely an awkward get acquainted period before the honeymoon phase.

Jwar shipped me my Mercury7 yesterday. I haven't been this excited about a pedal in a long time!

Which aspects are you struggling with?

I wouldn't say struggle, and it's not one particular thing... more that it takes some time and exploring to know what it's capable of and how to get where you want to go? And I'm not there yet.

I would say it takes some careful tweaking to setup for one particular sound. But I barely know what I am doing with it. My biggest issue is some volume inconsistency. I don't yet know if it is a keeper, feel like I still have more to explore. The stutter is a bit of a let down, or at least I haven't figured out how I can use it creatively. Some of the best sounds I found have been tweaking knobs randomly without trying to go for a particular sound.

The Ottobit Jr is fucking cool. Love the stutter and how usable it is. It's like a Possessed with tap tempo, which makes it easy to incorporate to your playing instead of playing to the pedal. The bit crushing is so awesome too. There is a slight learning curve, but you will be an Ottobit master in a day or two.

You are going to have a blast with it!

I've never been totally happy with a (non-brick based) pedal verb until the Mercury. It has a ton of character and can be really grainy (in the best way) like an old rack verb. Also, I thought the Blade Runner shtick was mostly a marketing thing until I plugged it in. That shit's legit.

Obviously, you can use it for much more than that, but it's kinda ridiculous.

Glad you are loving both pedals hotknife! The Blade Runner influence comes from a totally authentic place. I was already designing algorithms based on the legendary verb used on the original's soundtrack before the new movie was announced for our 500 series. I made sure that the Mercury7 could do the long swirling grainy trails that made the originals so great, as well as having its own unique voice.
Full manuals for both pedals will be up soon. Rough drafts are complete, and now revisions, graphics, and layouts are underway. In the meantime, I'm here for anyone that's stuck! I'll get you whatever info you need.
Side note, be sure to mess with the "pitch mix" control. It's the 2nd layer under the mix knob. It is set pretty high as a factory default, but for some pitch intervals I find that setting the pitch mix low can be more satisfying than the full blast parasitic pitch de-evolutions (although they are fun too)

Hi ritz! I designed the Ottobit Jr. knob ranges so that you can audition each section independently (even though the sections are highly interactive). For the top row of knobs (Sample Rate, Filter, and Bits) setting each knob to max puts them in their neutral or pass through state. For the bottom row, setting all the knobs at min does the same thing. I think it's easiest to build sounds by setting all the knobs to neutral and then auditioning them one by one to build up a sound. Doing this also gives you a good feeling for how each element works and what it contributes.
I do something similar when I'm building up a sequence by setting all the steps to "Skip", and then just building a sequence one step at a time. To skip a step in the sequence, just turn the corresponding step knob to its minimum setting.
Also, try really long and really short tempos when dialing in the stutter. The stutter always listens to find a pick attack to start the playback, but the stutter is also listening and reacting to the tempo. If you are looking to break up the predictability, long tempos coupled with the stutter set to random is the way to go.

So:
a)I really love the ottobit
b)unfortunately, the right output on mine doesn't work but Meris have been awesome. They have been very proactive about getting in touch with me and yesterday, I spent 15 or 20 minutes on the phone with Angelo troubleshooting. Now they are shipping a new one while I return the other. So refreshing!
c)I asked about true stereo/dual mono. Everything is dual mono except the stutter. For anyone who is interested.
I really want to get a Mercury7 now and am looking forward to whatever Maris have planned next

I finally got a big chunk of time to get deep with the ottobit last night and fuuuuck... it's not going anywhere.
As mentioned above this is definitely a pedal where you want to start with things dialed out and then bring in your destruction "bit" by bit. It can do a lot at once, so it's easy to rush into not knowing what's doing what. But I'm already getting so many cool settings that I know a preset or midi switch will be essential for me.
I was struggling a little to get the expression preset morphing set up, but I think maybe I was using a exp pedal that wasn't sending full heel. Need to experiment a little more. Definitely eager for a full manual with written explanation of the ins and outs of efficiently setting up and tweaking this aspect of it.
Stutter for me (feeding it a non-guitar source) is a little unpredictable, but I'm loving it actually. Partially I'm still figuring it out... it's like learning to improv jam with a little pedal robot that's responsive to you but also doing its own thing... That's what it feels like anyway

I for one welcome my new Otto-pedal-lord.
Love this thing!!

Just saw on Instagram that the chase bliss faves switch can be modded to recall presets on on the ottobit. Said to email them if you want one. Seems like the sort of thing that would be incredibly handy.
