i went through a huge post rock phase in 2008-2009 and i don't know why or how
i'm listening to yndi halda right now and it's not really doing it for me

Apparently Yndi Halda recently announced their return.

I, too, had a post rock phase. listened to so much it all became a bit diluted and formulaic. especially with all these bands around town. I still think Red Sparowes and Actarus are rad as fuck.

red sparowes is wicked good
i also love the album "give me beauty...or give me death!" by ef
and lift your skinny fists is the undisputed all time album champion in my mind so...it's not completely gone i guess

Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada is the only Godspeed album I can make it through. Those two songs are insane though. The other ones I just want to turn off.

I actually really like Godspeed's new album a lot, it's a good shift in sound.
