Only when that level of economic power co-opts a candidate, do they have any semblance of a chance at becoming POTUS.

the answer is no, not really. The classicism is strictly income based but its more or less the same. Fewer ingrained mores (socially anyway, not ethically) among the fiscal aristocracy though.
