It'll be there. Oh it will. Curious what combos you'll make.

So, unless I have a date tonight, I will finally be making a demo vid of this thing and then I'll have to let it go forth...

Both outcomes are surely fairly good. A night with a nice lady, or a night with a nice delay.

Ha! And I won't be offended if you take the date over a night with the delay :)

I got a little carried away there, 25 minutes of noodling. I tried my best to keep it interesting by twiddling the knobs as much as possible.

Chain goes Ct5 > In Limbo > Bee Baa, later I change it to Spring Chicken > In Limbo > Bee Baa.

There are so many great sounds in this, I almost wished it had a way to save presets! I love the modulation, the fake arpeggio, slapback, long delays, so much fun! It sounds so crisp and clear, almost digital, but still retains a lot of feel to it. I had a similar feeling to Tristans, that it felt almost too clear, but that offers some nice sounds of its own, I loved pushing the tone knob all the way to the trebley side and play with the bridge pickup, you get little artifacts, that almost sound bitcrushed. Very nice to mix up the ambiance! And don't get me started on the tone knob! Finally a tone knob that does something, this one can totally alter the sound. Love that about it too! If you dial back the regeneration the repeats don't really fade, they seem to cut out after one or two loud repeats, which makes it sound not like a delay but like playing more than you actually do. This is the most fun in the arp mode, of course. The Arp mode is also amazing to mix up drones. In the beginning of the vid I demonstrate this with the Ct5. You almost get a bassline of sorts. Mostly I had the feeling I liked the pedal better with longer, sustained notes. The exception to this might be the arp mode, if you get the timing right, you can get playing with yourself. Strangely I felt reminded of David Grubbs' playing when I got that going right. And I loved the Limbo pre and post dirt. If I had this, I'd probably dirt sandwich all the time.

When there is so much light, there must also be a shadow cast, obviously. The crisp sounding part can be weird, it's a little harder to dial in that "analog" sound, mostly you'll have to use a little bit of the modulation for that to feel right. I absolutely didn't like the way it oscillated, it got very screechy at that, so I always kept the regen on the safe side. One of the delay favourites, riding the brink of oscillation, did not sound so good. I also did not like the chorus sounds so much, but that is probably just me, not a fan of Chorus, so I did not explore that aspect. I guess you would find something nice if you played with modulation depth and the lfo form.

Rad! Thanks so much for posting. CT5 + ARP <3

Yeah I've made a few changes since I sent these away. The repeats being so crisp is all to do with the companding. I was on a bit of a noise reducing quest before I sent these out so the repeats are expanded a little. It has it's advantages for some things makes those first few repeats punchy and crisp but the downside is it doesn't fade away as nicely as the expander starts to cut down the later repeats. I've kind of gone full circle.. my first prototypes were more compressed really good for washy ambient sounds and you get repeats that go on forever but the downside is the noise and you loose that crisp kinda sound.

For the production version I've moved it back into more neutral territory, It would have been cool to have added a switch but it's just not as easy as that. So you can kind of hopefully get a bit more of both worlds now. The chorus as well, I've done some software changes to reduce the delay time, it was really set too high and the modulation depth probably needed to be increased a bit just for the chorus settings. Hopefully these are good ideas?

I actually liked the crisp sound and the sudden cutting of the repeats! It gives the box a very unique character. I would rather keep it with the crisp-ness and shoot for something with a sound more of it's own. Tell me if Uni doesn't want to keep it. I might have to save this one since it has that quirky crisp thing going on.

Dunno about the chorus, man! I really don't find much use for chorus, so I did not bother to fiddle much with it. I did like a sort of arp-slapback sound I got with the delay set pretty short. You could not get into chorus-y delay times without adjusting the tap division, but that was alright by me.

Lovely box, this one!

Yeah, if you can find a way definitely put it on a switch man!
I'm amazed you could get an analog delay so clean, it sounds very rich too and it just has a completely different character of it's own, I've never played a real Echoplex but that's what it reminds me of.
A little bigger box (I guess that's necessary to fit everything in) with the crisp v.s. not so crisp sound on a switch, a more gradual mix control and an external tap in would be perfect.
I dunno about the chorus, I thought it was fine on the tourbox unit but if I remember correctly it did get pretty seasick when you turn up the depth so it was a little difficult to dial in a more vibrato type of sound, I also found the modulation / chorus to be a bit clinical / digital / Strymon sounding maybe but I'm not completely sure anymore, just didn't have enough time with it really.
All I really know is I think it's an awesome pedal and I really really want one.

Pedal arrived here!
Thanks!

I have a high pitching sound that i can't dial out. Did anybody have the same issue?
The delay sounds great alone. But at the band practice yesterday it got totally swallowed in the mix. I switched after a song back to the timebender.

I didn't have any of that, are you using the wall wart supplied with the In Limbo?
Haven't tried it in a band unfortunately.

Jupp.
You can change the pitch a bit with the Wave Shape Knob. But it does not disappear. :idk:

That is strange. It didn't happen when it was here. :idk:

I wouldn't have thought it'd get swallowed in the mix. That tone knob is quite drastic. But no user experience with that.

These are my thoughts exactly.
Something is perhaps amiss. Have you got another power supply you can test it with? Back in the day when I had an EHX freeze I got some crappy noise in it from a power supply.
