The Fairfield has a really unique way of implementing a filter on the delays, and it has a compressor circuit in it. The modulation is also random, iirc. Will have to watch juan's demo again. So yep, it's bringing new stuff to the table.

I wasn't impressed with the Supa Puss, not one bit. I have high expectations for the Fairfield.

What didn't you like about it? The reviews of it I read online seemed totally different from the pedal that I was actually playing when I got it. The tone control has a great range on it, and mine doesn't feedback as much as everyone else said their's did.
This Fairfield delay does have my interest, though. I'd like to see a real guitar demo of it; see how much you can do with the tone control, and how good random modulation really is... I'm a bit skeptical of it actually being satisfying.
But I loved the Barbershop and Four Eyes, so I'm excited to see what this one can do!

I tried a Supa Puss early on after initial release and it had tons of hiss plus a strange mix control that caused volume to drop below unity as mix was increased.

Wow...so I just watched the delay demo with Juan
WANT HARD
That's exactly the kind of delay I've been looking for.
I'm thinking that it'll be the Fairfield delay for my guitar board and the SS/BS Cloudsleep for my drone board (especially if it has joysticks)
I'm also thinking that I need to sell some pedals before April

Dude. I've been following the Supa Puss since it came out. I've had two and plan on getting another.
First release was not good. I liked the features and the sound but there were the problems you mentioned plus a few others that the internet hated. Then they started modding older units and shipping them with the mods standard. I got one of the new ones. It fixed a lot of things but still had just a few quirky things going on but it was no where near game breaking. Just some small annoyances. I sold it to try some other things and have been missing it ever since. It has this light hazy air about it that is different from everything else I've tried and it totally interacts with everything feeding into it in a very cool way.
I've heard rumors that there will be another release this summer with even more fixes. I'm going to keep this one until the next comes out

and so on and so on.
Also, TGP seems to love the supa puss and I have no idea why because that thing can get fuckin nasty. The follow mode, whatever its called, is ridiculous. Maybe because it has some "light od" on the repeats. But for real, that light od makes some great oscillation.

Cool. I've had mine for a while and although I haven't used it in my current band setup, it has so many cool features and tweakables that I can't imagine wanting any more from an analog delay. I'm going to look long, strong, and hard at a good Fairfield demo when that comes out, but for now the Supa Puss is unbeatable.
I'm looking forward to whatever updates they give to it. Where did you hear about those? I'm ppprreeetttyyy sure mine is V.2, but not positive.

I had a v1 puss that I sent in for the fixes and I thought they tamed it back too much and barely fixed the volume drop.
Looking forward to more demos of the Fairfield delay!

TGP. I always check all the supa puss threads since dudes seem to keep up with it more there. Nothing sounded too solid but I think someone mentioned more updates they got in an email from Dunlop. Summer is a timeframe I've heard passed around from people asking vendors when they'll be in stock again but apparently it's been pushed back before so who knows.

Totes. Not a fan of delay on bass (or at least I can't make it work) so it'll be cool to hear it on geetar.

Someone tell Guillaume to announce a price and then take my money.
