Death Grips facebook page wrote:we are now at our best and so Death Grips is over. we have officially stopped. all currently scheduled live dates are canceled. our upcoming double album "the powers that b" will still be delivered worldwide later this year via Harvest/Third Worlds Records. Death Grips was and always has been a conceptual art exhibition anchored by sound and vision. above and beyond a "band". to our truest fans, please stay legend.

They did mention being an art exhibition but I doubt they would fake their death.

I'm glad I hesitated to buy tickets for the tour. Man. Nine inch nails are interesting enough that I'd pay a lot to be close to DG to pit it up but Soundgarden would've been a hard task. Sorry for you.

I'm excited enough to see Nine Inch Nails and I can tolerate Soundgarden.
Really happy I went with lawn tickets though (further away but only like $40)

Good call. I was in turmoil over what to get. Death grips from the lawn, whack. Soundgarden from the pit, whack. Nin from the pit, an experience. Perfectly split.

Are they replacing death grips with anyone?

I haven't seen any news stating they would.
Reznor is apparently pissed though: http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/trent-rez ... ips-split/
