I think that Riddle shape (made slightly smaller) would also work well for lap steel.

Those bodies are cool. I'm curious to see the end. Are these just prototypes?

By the way, a coworker linked a video over, and I was surprised by a familiar logo:

Yeah Jack Conte/Pomplamoose has the first Coquette and technically the second Nelson ever made! It's nice to see him still using it!

Re: prototypes, technically the first batch of anything I make is kind of the prototype batch but so far these are all coming along great!

I apologize that I am skipping ahead a bunch here but I thought I would just post the most recent picture to get everyone up to speed!

Last night I routed neck pockets for 11 of the guitars. Only 7 more to do and then I can glue the necks in!

Those two Riddles with the white binding are stupid sexy, even unfinished.

Necks are glued in and today I finalized the pick guard designs and routed the control cavities.
Here are some mockups showing the pick guards with hardware laid in approx position.

Provocateur with and without f-hole.

The new Attache.

And the Deluxe Riddle with two tiered pick guard.

Tomorrow begins the laborious sanding process and then comes the lacquer!!!

I'd love one of each! Not that I'm likely to be able to afford any of them, but damn I'd have a hard time choosing if I could.

The provocateur and the riddle seem to be the ones folks are most excited about!
