The mercenaries have failed us. Dr. Zoch Kütt has played one of his evil tricks on us. While he was distracting the mercenaries and me, his minions, the customs dudes, sent the box back to Behnderz. This is in a way bad luck, because I'd have thought that it would be clear that if I came to the customs office to claim the box and then everybody told me I'd need to get an agency to work on this, that I would come back afterwards and claim the box. Instead they just left the clock ticking and sent it back a couple of days ago as if I'd never shown up there. I was wrong in assuming there would be a) a certain service-mentality at the customs office and b) nothing happening because of Carnival. They actually did send it back while Dr. Zoch was in full swing.


End result: Behndy gets the pack back, shipping is his loss. I got the mercenaries do the paperwork for me with no effect. Their fee for that is my loss.

I'd say that if B is still up for that we could all check out what the exact terms are in our countries and after refunding him for his lost shipping we choose where we're going to ship the box. I feel responsible for this mess, so I refuse any sort of refunding for the merc bill, but I'd need some convincing for it to be me who does first stop again. I was so fucking angry at those assholes!

when it hits i'm fine with shipping it out again if we figure out someplace that it'll hit without all the drama. still would like to do this, but i don't want anybody to be on the hook for $400 and shit.

Netherlands isn't an option since they go off value and there's no temporary import clause, well there is, but then the goods are placed in a seal and I can't touch them. I want to touch them.

According to the shoddy HMRC website, you can bring in GBP 270 worth of goods without getting taxed, but I find the HMRC website to be annoyingly vague and one should read the manual, but I'm too lazy for that. So an option would be to break it down into 2-3 smaller packages and then the UK chap that gets them combines them into Voltron to send it along to the rest of us.

I know that for things marked as "gifts" coming into the UK you have to pay VAT, which for this bundle would be quite a lot. I'm reading about temporary imports, which allow you to avoid at least some of the tax, but it's pretty complicated and I'm not sure they'd allow that this counts... Looks like if we could swing that, we get 24 months and sending it around europe would be possible, we would just need to be very careful about filling in all the forms and doing everything they want.
