Wow that was great!

Following the Peel Session post of a couple days ago, i fell back in the new wave-ish hole so i spent yesterday and today spinning some classics, including Songs from the Big Chair, and i found this recent excellent live rendition of one of my favorite songs from that album.

Probably the first time diving into this LP in... shit... maybe 10 years? after listening to it (and the rest of their discography) an unhealthy amount during the band's run. Falling back in love with what made it so great.

What a perfect song is Carry? and From Sinking? and the entire the album? just
Had the very same experience a few months back but it was with In the Absence of Truth (of which, i found out, i own two original copies. I don't know how is that possible).

I downloaded Jason Isbell's new album right when I woke up, and it's been great. Apparently Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires are getting around no concerts to promote their new album by streaming an acoustic set for free tonight and I'm pretty damn excited. Funny thing is, TN reopens bars today, but that stream might keep more folks in

Didn't realise it was out already, I'll have to give it a listen soon!

I have tickets to his show in November so I'm really hoping restrictions are lifted by then.

Just released this morning (last week if you preordered it from a local music shop to help out small businesses, which is cool). I dunno how I live just 3 hours away from him but haven't seen him live once in the 10 years I've been listening to him.

Haha just one of those things I guess! I've not caught him either even though I had a couple of chances - just busy on the wrong days I guess. Saw Drive By Truckers a few years ago but that was like a decade after he left them - would have liked to see the lineup with him in the band, I really like some of his songs with them.

Alrightm first of all, Jason and Amanda covered a Zevon song in the concert so I bounced around like a child.

Second, my dream team one off album would be Hood, Cooley, Isbell, and Shires, all acoustoc. I think they'd make something great.

This sounds very nice but the songs don't hold my interest as songs. I keep waiting for the real black metal song to start and it never does.
