DO IT!!!! You know this is my favourite amp...it has the nicest clean channel ever and perfect with pedals. Dirt side isnt enough by itself but with some kind of boost its great...i used a EQD Monarch to add more dirt to the dirt channel and it was lovely.

Nice man...congrats on the AOR!
Today is also a good gear day for me...the boss hm2 arrived, plugged in to my marshall with a dirty clean tone. Obviously i set the pedal with everything on 10...not my cup of tea...knocked back the Highs on the pedal and yes....THIS IS MY DEATH METAL tone!
Instant inspiration for old school death metal riffage...I think this pedal makes me play faster!

I knew you'd be in favour of the decision.

I just dig the sounds, the wattage is right, and they're so fucking affordable. I wanted to find a Bassman 50 or maybe a JTM45, but they're all twice the price. The Rocker 30 is just ideal. I'll run it dry while the Fryette will run wet. When my Dunwich combo comes in later this year, I'll then run that in there as well. Maybe all at the same time, maybe on its own. We'll see.
Also, congrats on the HM-2!

When I had an HM-2 back in the day I always ran it at 10, 10, 2, 10

... so me and the other guitar player were constantly searching for louder amps so that we could hear ourselves... no MIDS! Sounded so amazing on it's own but I really needed some tone advice back then.
About that Rocker 30, is it all EL84s like the T30. It's a cool looking amp but it seems like those little power tubes would be prone to wear out quickly. I burned out a stock one in a Valve JR. but then again it was a stock tube and the JJ has been fine not that I use that amp much.

It runs on two EL34's. I can't remember in what mode it runs them. It's a relatively unique circuit if I remember rightly.
EL84's can wear out pretty quickly, but that's not necessarily because they're small physically or because they're bad quality, it's probably because they are driven harder since they have such low output. There is nothing wrong with the tube, though. It's just pushed harder and therefore lasts slightly shorter. But anyone who runs their amps loudly will expect the same span from their 6L6's or EL34's. KT88's and other big bottle tubes probably last longer though. Nick might correct me on that, I'm not sure.

Just took my Sunn Enforcer to get checked up retubed and some switches replaced. it's the first time it's been out of my shed since I bought it around 8 years ago. Also took him my older 70's Sunn Concert Lead to have the plug replaced. Had a good long talk with the guy, he's basically me in another 20 years. And I was asking him about some of the work he does with mods and what types of amps he builds since I know he did what was a 59 bassman for a friend of mine and turned out he had worked at fender for a bit over a decade or so building amps. So I have complete confidence in him.
Speaking of gear days I did a small sound test of my Mauler cabs before I had to run meet this guy to deliver the amps to him. Annd and and finally secured back my Sovtek Mig100H that long ago I traded to a friend and he sold to another friend who then shoved it in his bedroom at his parent's house and never played it. Basically worked it where he is trading it to the guy I traded it to long ago for a Orange Tiny Terror and I'm just buying or building my friend a cab. He's going to let me know which soon.

Any super specialized genre gets that way after the first wave breaks....
I gotta ask why you joined the forum bro. You came in here asking for suggestions which you ignored and then bought a head that you were asking us to convince you not too. Then you ignored our recommendations of not getting an extremely expensive pedal because we knew it wouldn't do what you were expecting, then you vaguely say oh that's not what I'm gonna use it for anymore (and implied you'd use it the way we recommended but act like you don't want to admit it). Then you come in here shitting on the music a lot of us enjoy like your DOS (who has the clout to do so). So why the fuck are you here? Get your head out of your teenage ass and be a part of the community we've built with members who've been playing shows since you were still shitting in diapers and sucking your thumb, or go join TGP.

Get off my fucking lawn.

NWWD- picked up an 18v Ryobi weed whacker today. It's great, the battery lasts about 15 minutes, then takes an hour (aka 2 beers) to recharge. This supports my style of yardwork to the max.
