A client bit me at work yesterday.
Now I'm paranoid about what nasty ass infection he may have given me and the impact that may have left unchecked on my hand.
Off to see the doctor tomorrow.

Say what? You work in a mental institution or something? Or the DMV?

No. I work with people who have disabilities. Most of them are sweethearts, and this guy can be too, but he has autism and an intellectual disability which can lead to HUGE behavioural episodes.
He cracked it yesterday, charged me and grabbed my hands, trying to bite them, several times. He didn't get a proper bite in, I rolled with it and then pulled out of his grip each time, but it grazed the fuck out of my hand t on his teeth the last time.
He's a gank dude hygiene-wise, and while I did rinse and wash with shitty hand soap, nobody at his facility (I work for an external organisation to the place he lives) offered me any first aid or even some antibacterial/alcohol wipes. A band aid or three would have been nice.
The staff member on hand didn't even intervene.
So I'm a bit shitty. I got bitten while she stood there.

THEY JUST STOOD THERE AND... watched... *sniff*
Sorry to hear that, dude. I guess these things happen, but damn, you'd think your coworkers would try to help. Anyway, crossing my fingers you didn't get any disease or infection or space aids.

Definitely don't want the space AIDS.
These things do happen, frequently, but there's usually clear procedures when they do. Because I was visiting in a new place of residence for this guy, nobody gave me the run down.
She wasn't a coworker, but I was on her turf and she was in charge of the situation.
She should have handled it.

I wish it was both Christmas and Thanksgiving right now!

I wish there was snow.

I want turkey and roast beef and mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie!

Getting sick for the second time in 3 weeks. Same exact thing as two weeks ago. Guess someone really wants me to be sick.

Dealing with a missing package from FedEx. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghh!!! Damn it. Of all the things to be missing, a $220 Hungry Robot Moby Dick. At this point, my only hope is a refund.

Angels traded Aybar, Newcomb, and Ellis to the Braves for Simmons and a catching prospect. Lame. Stupid. Marginal upgrade while trading away the future rotation. Fire Eppler!

Damn, Aybar was supposed to be a lifer and was always fun to watch him be a weirdo.

When you realize you've got to read six novels, a bunch of secondry literature and write three academic papers in four weeks because you spent most of the semester playing with pedals. Fuck me and my priorities.

Update: FedEx delivered my pedal to 12 Foreman St not 12 Farnham St, where I live. It took a phone call to FedEx, but they went, picked it up, and dropped it off at my house. Yay! Problem solved!

Christmas carol season has started. I know a lot of people hate them semi-jokingly or because they are terrible pieces of music, but I just have a knee-jerk acidic reaction within me every time I hear them. Probs because Christmas was always a rather painful time for me growing up. Worst of all is that I get even angrier and more malcontent at myself for having such a vitriolic reaction to Christmas music, it's a fucking feedback loop of suck.

Oh, and I effectively got a kid I liked kicked out of college. I gave him some leeway the first time I caught his shit, but cheating is never okay --especially when it's done so obviously.

It's still two fucking weeks to Thanksgiving what the fuck are these people doing. Fuck I'd rather have Mormon's than Carolers.
