In just under 12 hours I will be playing Diablo 3. Unfortunately I have to leave for work 4 and a half hours later.

Hah, it's okay. I was at a game store the other day rifling through the ps2 game bins, checking discs for damage, comparing multiple copies of the same game.
Also, I call shenanigans on Diablo 3 servers going up at 12PM PST when I'm in EST.

D3 is soooooooooooooo good. New gamers might not like it but all the older guys I spoke to also think it's epic especially because they didn't tamper with the formula that made the game what it was. So far about 10 hours in but will thankfully have the next 3-6 months at home with it ;D

^ This. I really enjoyed how seamless party-hopping was, spent the good part of today playing a Wizard. I'm just puzzled with why they didn't make elective mode the default in the first place, because disabling it really seems to put you at a disadvantage.

my little brother's in love with Battlefield 3. he just picked it up and has been playing a butt load on my big ass tv (i love that thing. NIGHTLY.). looks good. i'm just...... i dunno. i think i only have room in my heart for one Deep Upgrady FPS Thinger, and i KNOW i only have room in my SCHEDULE for one. CoD takes over all my spare time for a full month or two when each new iteration comes out, i need the space to casually play games between release dates and still get stuff done that's NOT vidja gamin' related.
looks fun though.

Reinstalled Battlefield 1942 with a coupla buds now that we found out how to make it work on Windows 7. SO GOOOOOOOOD.
Dem weird physics that allow for hilarious unintentional deaths.
Dat latency-based leading.
You die in 3-4 shots, only way to heal is to find a bunker or friendly medic.
Tanks can't fire across the entire map. Planes don't fly at a million miles per hour AND you can actually shoot them down...with machine guns!
No easymode radar, everyone on your team actually communicates because the spotting system only shows you that a friendly in that area saw something. People even type! They even talk like human beings!
When you accidentally run your plane into a teammate's, you get a "lol" instead of "FAGGOT".
Headbanging in jeeps.
Oh man, this really is the best game ever.

They are awesome! I only use mine for BlazBlue so far, but it's fun as hell.

Funny you say that, because I think that it makes a lot of changes which make it more casual friendly.
Shame about the servers today, though.

Troof. The only things they didn't change are the point and click and that stuff falls out of dead things. I've put off buying it even because I don't want to support their WoW-ifying it.

Having a lot of fun with D3. Pretty addicted. I actually thought that D2 was more casual imo.

I still need to play through Skyward Sword. I have had it since the week it came out, but I haven't gotten a chance to play it. My girlfriend like inhabits the tv.
