[#humblebrag] We sold out of everything. Twice. We had to get more shirts in Boston and more records in NYC, but we sold of of them too.

We're getting more shirts made at the moment, but we wont have vinyl again until the label does a third pressing. [/#humblebrag]

It really makes me happy to see a band succeed. Obviously we all have different interruptions of success, but still.

That's awesome, mannnn. Have you heard anything about the label shipping out the replacement copies? I still haven't received my replacement.

For sure, the single bass drum is fucking awesome -- I don't know why more fast bands don't do that.

My assumption is that most drummers figure the more of everything you hit the faster it must sound. Which doesn't really translate quite like that. I know cause in my other bands I do gravity blasts and full out normal bomblasting. It's basically going for what is quantifiable as measured hits instead of doing less but the feel and velocity translates more so through the music. I basically wanted to rip off Dropdead when I started that band. haha.

Yeah your tour manager said something to that effect, but at the end of the day I wanted a purple logo shirt and I didn't get one so now I hate you.

christianatl wrote:Hy doom roomers, I just got a Squire Bass VI, and I'm trying to figure out the whole scale length v. string gauge / tension thing. It's a 30" scale from bridge to nut, but theres also a whole mess of string behind the bridge.

I use a pretty weird tuning, and I actually skip the second string: G_GCFA

The first G is below standard guitar tuning but above standard bass tuning, and the G on the third is an octave above that.

Does that make sense?

String tension and gauge recommendations?

Go Circle K, great customer service and will pack the strings you want together as a set.

Here's their badass tension chart: http://circlekstrings.com/CKSIMAGES/CircleKtensionChart.pdf

Look up the string gauges you use on your esquire and then cross it with the tuning for each string to find out what your current tensions are according to them. Then look up the notes you want to tune to and see what string gauge gives you that tension.

Congrats on the axe!

Whiskey, I was going back and remember you used to have one of those Kustom III heads. How did it sound. I see them come up pretty often and thought about getting one just cause.
