I picked up #47 Big Briar Moog MF-102 RingMod (and MF-101) - these are through hole, the later Moog ones were SMT so secret analog elf magic inside these boxes.

My first ring mod was a Big Briar. I foolishly sold it because I wasn't playin' it enough.

Actually, I think I traded it. It's OK though, I got a Tycobrahe Pedalflanger as part of the trade.
You win some (flangers), you lose some (ring mods).

Nah, there were a bunch of pedals I wasn't usin' that I traded in at a shop. I got the flanger plus some cash.

When I think about the stuff I sold and what I sold it all for...

. I had the whole Big Briar collection and then had kids and thought I'm not playing lets get rid of this stuff and put that money towards other non-sense. I don't sell stuff really any more.

Well don't

, we should all get excited by this:
"We’ll probably make a damn ring modulator because Charlie loves them and it makes me really happy that that’s an option now." - Joel Korte, Chase Bliss Audio
That statement can be found in the last sentence of point #3:

i find myself strangely un-moved by all this talk of big briars and cbas b/c...monobius
...but nonetheless,

Joel
i am much more likely to be tempted to break pedge for a cool ringmod than for any number of tricksy digital devices these days

About time! Always thought their mod archetecture would be killer for a ring mod. Let's just hope it's not gonna be a spin chip..
