I almost just wanna go sans internet this week. We're in for a mega, mega shitshow.

Edit: barring hilarious party infighting. I will watch that, obviously. :animal:

I'm so happy I disconnected cable TV a long time ago because I have a feeling that the ads are absolutely horrendous.

Why would you deprive yourself of what can only be absolutely top-notch entertainment (complete apathy might need apply for recognizing this as top-notch entertainment)?

Yeah, it's all in good fun, until somebody gets elected President.

With all the shit that's been going on lately, we could all use a humorous diversion (however short it may be).

It's a pretty real conundrum right there... bigger shitbag: Jones or Rove?

Rove and it's not even close IMO.

Yeah after thinking about it for a nanosecond, I agree. Jones is just a dim-witted conspiracy moron—Rove's much more genuinely evil.

One thing I will say: the W era really had some top-notch supervillains. Rove, obvs. Not like we need to even talk about Cheney. Rumsfeld was like an animated corpse.

Modern repubs seem to have lost their flair for the mountain-lab-dwelling, weather-controlling bad guy act.

I know there's some legitimate videography reasons for it (or at least that's the line from the people who refuse to believe they did it because, you know, advocating for war in front of one of the greatest antiwar works of art in human history might strike some as a little puzzling), but having a curtain cover the tapestry Guernica when Powell presented the case for invading Iraq to the U.N. was one of the major politicizing events of my life.

The Bush era was my major politicizing moment as well, and i like the idea of Donald Rumsfeld as a sentient undead, like a Lich, or a Ghoul, or The Worm That Walks maybe.

Remember that time Dick Cheeney shot a dude in the face because he's evil and his robotic heart gave him a pang that said "you haven't caused suffering in too long, Richard. Now is the time?"

Peperidge Farm remembers.
