skullservant wrote:Has Electric Amp wiring gotten any better? I remember it looking pretty horrible last time I saw some guts. No grommets or anything on the wires between inside and outside of the chasis, etc
McNeese does the wiring, atleast he was doing the wiring and it is usually pretty good. The lack of grommets was problematic to me as this is kind of code for wiring through metal holes but everything else is pretty good.

Ah that's good at least. I think it was the grommets that worried me the most last time I looked at the wiring

My etched BAT Revelation SuperBass arrived, shit looks sick!
My Deluxe Badascan should be here any day now, also etched, also sick!

Where did you get that? I have the BAT SuperBass, but with the normal graphics. I love that pedal. I never turn it off.

How much u like modulation?
A lot. So much so that I'll probably still buy individual modulation pedals after I buy a Mobius, and I'll no doubt keep my current ones bar maybe a few.

That's what I keep hearing from many owners. Currently filling that role of the never off dirt pedal for me would be the ss/bs FUCK, set pretty low gain. It just sounds so good.

I honestly worry that maybe I didn't select my words good enough and now he's over there thinking I'm a douche. It's probably not the case. I was just trained to spew so much venom I'm never quite sure if I'm keeping properly contained here amongst the civilized.
Is that weird?
You're a douche.
In all seriousness, the key to the Internet is to have thick skin. Because without the physicality of human interaction we tend to misunderstand each other really easily. The Doom Room is one of the few places that has a vast array of thick skinned (and down to earth) people. They have manners and respect. Disagreements are met with good times and respectful nods.

I'm waiting for Eventide to enable their 'Factor' series to do just that. They've already done the 1+2 blending, I'd love to see the ability to blend different delay or mod types together

Oh, yeah, I didn't think of that. Hmmmm... I don't tend to be a stackin' player (unless it's reverb and something else), so I doubt it'll be a serious issue. A slow phase or flanger and a fast, hard trem together sound cool, but it's not something I use regularly.

I found the pic and had Dan here at ILF (user DannDubbleEwe) etch the enclosure and send it to Mark for the build. You can see his work all over this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=149&t=27714Some other guys here, jwar, Arcane, and LaoWiz do amazing work as well, see their stuff here:

Dan also made this enclosure for the custom Badascan. It's gonna be similar to the standard Doom Room Badascan but Mark replaced the input toggle with an input gain pot control. He also changed up the diodes to include silicon/no diodes/LED + Mosfet blend. The LED + Mosfet setting is controlled by a special blend pot, should offer a huge variety of badassness!

I'm pretty much sold on it, as I just found out that, instead of patching the Mobius before or after dirt in front of the amplifier, you can patch the pedal before or after the preamp. So I can put the pedal in front of all dirt pedals in the front-end of the Fryette, and send the first output to the input of the amp. Then patch the send from my loop to the second input of the Mobius, and patch the return on the amp to second output on the pedal. This means I can get vibe and all that good stuff before dirt in the front-end, but also can have my trem and flanger in the loop.

Take that video and put it over an Boris song and that is exactly how it was seeing them live. I wanted to take that wireless headset mic he had on and shove it up his urethra at the end of their set.

I like the clean/slight break up of my orange and the F.A.C knob make it the least likely for "one trick pony" category of amps. I haven't even zoned on anything close to dopethrone feel honestly nor do I care. I'm still trying to tweak my amount of dirt/eq together.
Oh and about boris, I never really cared for them. I don't know why but then again stoner stuff never hit me, doom yes, stoner/drone meh most times.
