I like your Mustang a lot. How do you like those lipsticks? I'm thinking of making a bastardcaster using two of those and a humbucker.

Also interested in the Pawn Shop Mustang but it's never gonna happen. Looks nice though.

I like the pick ups better than the lipsticks in my dano. They feel a bit brighter, more clear, it's a nice even response. I'd recommend them! I think they have some that go up to 12k-ish. But low gain is the charm of lipsticks to me :thumb:

I did, it's super, really haven't given my other guitars much attention since it showed up! Build quality and finish are both top notch, the neck and fretwork are really impressive. Plays great and I'm absolutely loving the HBs, I was a little leery about these, figured I might have to do some swapping. They sound absolutely huge, really wide open and dynamic for a high output HB.

Also, with the coil tap and switching options, you can get some really classic-ish Fender single coil tones as well as covering tons of ground in between. Most importantly, to me at least, is the low noise in single coil mode along with minimal volume drop, really great guitar all around. I know the HBs and lack of trem will bother a lot of Mustang/Fender purists but I use HBs almost exclusively (most coil tapped though) and don't really care about the trem, perfect for my needs.

Also prefer this new "modified" offset shape, nice mix of a Mustang/Jazzmaster/Strat elements, a bonus compared to the regular flat-top Mustang shape, imo. The mint pickguard looks really sweet too, looks white in pics, but pretty snazzy in person.

Here in Italy are way too much expensive compared to US.
Bought this one on Ebay and paied right the half of the price!
I missed a Tele-Style guitar, but wanted something "different" and with humbs...

Masked elwd's thread inspired me to try and paint it myself, and sort of have that loose attitude about it.

Needless to say, after all the beaters I've played up to this point, I love this guitar

 ...why thank you my friend. loose attitude is always good....

looks great (nice knobs!)...mustang with lipsticks, merging into charlie sheen territory.... :thumb:

I was very fortunate again and found my SBV a trebly bud to chill out with! SGV-300! Really should not have spent the money but...whatever, I had to spend the money.
I fuckin' love the SG/SB series reissues! :!!!:
The shape seems to be very polarizing but personally I dig it! A lot!

No sparkle finish on this one, I'm not sure if the metalflake is limited to the basses or what.
Scale length is 24.75"
Standard neck - neck/bridge - bridge selector switch, and the controls from front to back are volume/tone/AND -- there's something special about the bridge pickup. It's not a humbucker, it's actually two individual single coils.
I'm not sure what you call this type of pot, but it basically has 3 points it rests at -- all the way clockwise and the bridgemost pickup is soloed. At the middle point, both single coils are blended for SUPER HUMBUCKIN' ACTION. On the other end, the middle pickup is soloed. So you can also blend them between those points if you want.

The pickups are not high output, let's say they're more towards the medium - mid rare side. Basically, it sounds exactly like you'd think a surf guitar would.

Check out the weirdo bridge!
Image

It allows for bending up or down. I love the way it feels! Very smooth, but you can't do the metalz divebombing with it. More fluid than a strat-type by far. The arm is in a great position for vibrato strumming. It's a surfin', shoegazin' ANIMAL :animal:
(sorry  )

Image

From the few forum posts I've read about these, some people seem to have tuning issues with the trem, and I'm guessing it's because you can only use two springs. I dunno, mine seems fine...depends on the combination of string gauge/springs/claw...um, length. I'll have to slap some 11s on it and see how that goes. Of course I just got it, but right now I'm very happy with this geetar!

Potentiometer with indents. Sounds like this one has 3 indents. Much more common are 11-indent pots.

If you couldn't blend them I'd say it was just a rotary switch, but that's definitely a pot.
