In america don't they make 'grilled cheese' in a frying pan? That's not grilled that's fried cheese!
Toasties are awesome though... do you have one of those toastie makers or just stick it under the grill? Each has there benefits...
What kinda fillings do you go for? Spring Onion is pretty bad ass... or a posh one with Mozzerella, Sun Dried Tomato & Basil.
man, it is totally all about sun dried tomato. best grilled cheese filling by far. cream cheese + good cheddar is totally a winner, too. we used to have a sandwich press thing which was totally awesome.
Ever had sun blushed tomato? I can't decide if I like them or Sun dried more, they're both so good!

the triangle one and a flat one
we can go straight cheese
but half the time its whatever leftovers in the fridge plus cheese such as mine today beef mince
u can break out the eggs and bacon
spaghetti
creamed corn
the options are endless !
Man, you go all out on the toastie fillings... and carbohydrates.
I've never tried putting left overs inside... or eggs for that matter... first time for everything I guess! Leftover Mexican with sour cream could be pretty sweet...
God damn it i'm wanting a cheese toastie now.

Just got finished playing with what looks to be the drummer of my new band.
A band in which I get to play my Mudfuzz VI.

Ketchup has no business on anything that's not deep fried or a hamburger.

I'm sure I could do it... but I don't think I really want to... I guess eggs, cheese and bread are all okay together but... but nah.
I don't eat beef so it'd be more like spicy peppers and beans with cheese in bread for me... with gucamole and sour cream on the side or inside... maybe some kind of thick salsa too... god I want to eat that right now...
This also made me think... Halloumi... it doesn't really melt so what would it be like in a cheese toastie?

This thread needs to change its name to the cheese toastie thread... is there anything happier or more content than a man with some fuzz and a cheese toastie?

Grilled cheese is best with good 12 grain bread. White bread used to be good, but it just doesn't cut it anymore. Not enough flavour.

Oh and I like mine with roasted red pepper, jalapenos, a bit of cream cheese, tomato and cheddar cheese.
I'm all for mexi melts, though, tuff. My mom made me one a few days ago with chorizo con papas. It was magical.
