Ive had this a few months, but realized I've never posted it!

It's serial #666 made for Josh Newton. It's the first lefty Chessie ever made!
Hollow body / hollow neck. It rings like a bell, and feeds back in the best way. You can feel the whole thing come to life when it starts!
It plays like a dream, but I've swapped out the original Burstbuckers because they were just too hot for my tastes. I've got some Wildwood spec'd Custombuckers (AlNiCo III) in there now, but I may swap them again for some single coils.

Hey all. I think I'm about ready to pull the trigger on my first (and likely only) EGC. I'm torn between the Standard and the Series One. Anybody have any thoughts as to which one to select? They seem similar, apart from body shapes. Am I missing something?

Did you order one? Yes, the only real differences are body styles and preference. There are some tone differences between aluminum and acrylic bodies though. The Series One is a modified 500 shape for better balance. Picking your body style is hard because they all have merits and I like most pretty equally.

I have been thinking about selling my bolt on but I have decided to complete my build and then sell the whole thing. Parting out everything will cause me to lose probably $300, while I think selling the entire build might be able to recuperate most of my funds. We shall see. I just can not deal with the neck dive. Kind of a bad idea to offer heavy medium-thick necks for bolt ons. The normal thin neck would be lighter and work better on these builds.

That's why I personally stayed away from them, I figured the neck dive on them would be out of this world. Plus I think the polished neck look isnt my thing, the brushed alu looks so much better to m, but thats a different strokes for different folks type thing. How thick is the neck by the way? I was always interested in the profile, but the thin suits me better probably
