I came here to say this...

Also what the fuck is TalkGuitar???
Ah now I can say I don't kill All my time on TalkBass

. So guys what are some good heavy fuzz pedals for this genre of music? I'm doing a sort of one man band thing making sludge metal with doom and black metal influences. Looking to get a nice pedal for my guitar so its rig isn't so skimpy. Pretty much going straight from my head into the computer as well so if it happens to be a nice DI box even better. Right now there's one that caught my interest which was the Wounded Paw Battering Ram. The Greenhouse FX Sludgehammer was also recommended to me. What else yah got?
I always associate good doom sounds with very uncompressed OD sounds. If you can find one, Monster Effects mastodon was good.
Other fuzz brands:
Skin pump
DAM
Devi Ever
Effector 13
Are we gonna have to start a TG Mega Thread already???

anybody know loads of stuff about tv's? my big butts plasma has started buzzing when a signal is run into it. i haven't tried a new hdmi cable, but i was under the impression they either work or they don't since it's a digital signal.
i have a receiver with a built in hdmi switcher, run bunches of stuff into that and use the receiver to switch which input's going into the tv, so i leave the tv on the same input, switch with the receiver.
i've tried a different electrical outlet with a rf reducing power strip and just the tv on that so i'm PRETTY sure it's not a weird power issue?
any ideas? is my tv fucked?

Just ignore the buzz until something happens. Then you'll know there is something wrong with it.

New cable; or is it just the hdmi port or did you try others and did you try a different port on the switcher to check that???

yah. i need to try a new cable, it's just kinda a bitch 'cause i have a wall plate it runs through.
i thought hdmi cables were either working or not? i didn't think they could carry interference like this?
there's only one output on the switcher, so if it's that i'll have to replace the receiver. blegh.

Awesome, love it. I'm saving up and then just gonna buy like every one of Matt's awesome boxes in one shot.
Death Ray is one of the coolest things to play around with, and blasteroid is kickass too.

They're certainly affordable enough. I wish I had the money to buy 'em all at once.
I've been playing the Death Ray with really loud pedals before it. Sounds awesome that way.
