Well, it's only being published by Bethesda, so it probably has a better chance than if they had developed it.

Uncharted 3:

Started strong and lost steam.
Not a bad game, but the weakest of the 3...the 2nd was pretty awesome in a lot of ways so it could only go downhill from there.
Weak story. Weak bad guy. Weak puzzles. The set pieces were smaller and less impressive (with the exception of "the ship"), no sprawling platforming sections.

Heavy focus on gunplay...most battles were of the "duck and cover" gears style, not a whole lot of the "dangle n shoot" I enjoyed from the previous game.
The "Arkham" style h2h brawling was a blast, I went h2h on as many baddies as I could.

Some fun dialogue/banter early on but that vanishes somewhere along the way...the dialogue/acting was always the strong point of the series so I was bummed out here.

Up next: The Darkness II...time to go molest some baddies with my demon snake things.

Anyone rocking the Diablo 3 open beta? Mine is patching now and I'm so psyched to finally have a go!!

The WoW art style sucks giant dicks. Like big green ogre schlong. Stop using it. Especially when it's a game involving saving the world from Satan. Unless you're going to go over-the-top, silly childish, it just ruins the mood.

The monk is fun to kick things with though.

Started witcher2 for 360 yesterday and...well, I have mixed feelings..Dunno yet

Me and two friends joined a Caspian Border server in BF3 yesterday, with the goal of only using C4-laced jeeps to get kills.
At one point we saw a tank rolling down this hill, so we coordinated a triple attack...except just short of reaching our target, one friend's jeep was shot up and he had to bail. The tank thought he was dead, so it kept on slowly rolling forward, taking shots at other people while my friend ran up and threw 6 C4s on it. A few seconds later, me and the other friend bailed and let both of our jeeps coast right up next to it.
That tank felt the fury of 18 packs of C4 exploding simultaneously -- it only takes 2 to kill any normal tank. One friend's PC couldn't handle it and his game crashed immediately. The explosion made the server freeze for 5 seconds and left a huge crater. It was goddamn amazing.

We blew away so many tanks using our kamikaze tactics that they eventually stopped leaving the base altogether. C4 vehicles are the way to go.
As an added bonus, if you take explosive shotgun rounds you can bail out and shoot the jeep to detonate it; it counts as a shotgun kill. Sometimes people will get so fucking mad at you for "hacking" and killing their tank with a shotgun.

that all made me laugh. and then have to explain to my co-worker what i was laughing at. blank looks and derision ensue.

Also, so much disappoint with diablo. Unless they just didn't have it in the beta, there's no actual character building; you're just on a set development path. And the UI looks ragged. And GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE WITH ALL THE WOW BULLSHIT.

well i went to best buy again because he also gave me 2 iPhone 3gs's to sell. turns out they don't buy them back unless you bought em there. So i went to Gamestop and they paid me $120 EACH. so $240 at gamestop and $100 at best buy. I think my dad wanted to get me a Playstation Vita for some reason. So i'm gonna hold on to most of the moneys. I did get Tales of Graces tho...I've wanted that for a while.

so, my nerdy vid game brethren, looks like i'm getting a big ass tv today. havna bought any games but Kathrine and MW3 for a good while.

I still need Dark Souls...did you have Arkham City? I don't remember now, but people say it's good. If you (or anyone else) want Mass Effect 3 or FF XIII-2, I can get that shit for $30 today! Woo!
