I feel ya guys. Getting my Squire last year was really awesome. It opened a lot in terms of sonic palette but it's also very inspirational to have access to such a specific register. I can't see myself doing without a VI in the future. :thumb:
I started out playing bass, then got into guitar and only years after was I able to play such an amazing instrument. I mean, what I find frustrating playing bass - basically my blatant inability to make it work with pedals and I like synths better for very low sounds - I can just avoid with the VI.
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

I just want that extra high register stuff so when I get a looper I have more range. I have dreams of being in a fuzzy drum/bass vi two piece band.

The VI is the ideal instrument for a two piece band! Jammed a few times with a friend who borrowed my VI. The tonal range you get out of this thing is perfect. Fill it up with some effects and you'll be surprised how full it sounds with just two people.

I'm about to offload some pedals to fund a bass vi. Goodbye 24 and Unpleasant Surprise might get me enough...

The Squier VI is really great. Especially for the price. Slap a staytrem bridge on there and you're golden. Sadly, I failed to get one of those right when I got the VI, so now I'm pushing it back and thinking "I'll get it next month" every payday...

Yeah I haven't got round to using it with anyone else since I got my VI, but even just playing alone, it's so good how full the sound can get, and the extra register for looping lets you do so much!

^And yeah me too, I want a staytrem but find it hard to justify spending that much on a bridge for a £300 instrument. Which is dumb because I already have a guitar one so I know how great they are. It feels too much like a boring utility purchase or something, but I'll get round to it eventually.

I'm hoping I can talk drpoopenstein into trading me his ultra vi for a bunch of pedals...fingers crossed.

Exactly what I did. Got a Staytrem once I got tired of the stock bridge high e string unscrewing all the time. Really improved the experience. D'addario strings also helped a lot. Really great instrument now.

Some after Staytrem pr0n for you guys

This conversation prompted me to order a staytrem bridge for the bass vi. Woo! That'll be nice.

141g is kicking ass right now. The biggest challenge is sticking with one setting for more than 5 minutes. Do I want squarewave sub octave fuzz? Or angry synth bees? Maybe both at once?
