So... a new project begins...
I got this for $39

The bridge is lifting...
This is actually what I was looking for.. because I want to remove the bridge... and put a bass bridge on it... and a tailpiece and string it with 4 courses of 3 strings instead of 6 of 2

with the bass strings pulling and the octaves pushing... more to come...

Do post a demo when that wacky 12-string is done, interested in hearing that.
In the mean time: GIVE ME THAT MOCKINGBIRD

Bridge is warped and that is why it is lifting
Top is wavy as fuck

ugly pickgaurd came off super easy

if you give it some time the top may settle back into a more normal profile.

Maybe... it's a plywood top.. they don't list it as such in any info or website but it is. You can SEE the bracing patterns like nothing... I don't think it will just fix it's self.. I'd being worried if it wasn't a $40 guitar... but it is..

not really atm... mice got all over my work table.. one ate steelwool and died... and I'm kind'a in a taking stock things right now.. though decisions like what projects are worth finishing interms of will I ever use it of get out of it what I have in it... the 12 is still a go just gotta make a bridge but I'm selling the parts to the Jag because I just don't need the thing...

Ha! I used to have that same Ibanez 12 string. And the bridge was lifting.
