[don't see it on their website? off to insta]

i mean. it's not the silo, right?

is it the ergot? [that name def sounds like it would fit "modulation craziness"] :snax: :snax:
manymanyhaha wrote:I'm interested too since that Silo looks amazing (though too large for a mono pedal for my board). But modulation is the new 'it' thing if my opinion matters and lots of knobs and switches gets me
It was indeed the Silo. I ended up balking when the $297 turned into $340 with taxes and shipping so I didn't snag one. I'll ponder it for the next several days. I really like his work, stuff sounds pretty tone-annihilating and the look is second to few. I have an Ergot and a Sorghum from Lurch that I like a LOT. Just been so spendy lately hard to make a move on a $340 pedal that if I ever decide to sell, no one will care about but me (probably).

friendship wrote:Might be worth noting that the RE-20 debuted in 2007 at an MSRP of $339 USD*, which adjusted for inflation to 2022 would be $464. The RE-202's MSRP is $519, which is about an 11% price increase from the RE-20. But also, the RE-202 expands on the RE-20's features by giving you control over repeat saturation & wow/flutter, tape age, presets, defeat of the preamp, an extra footswitch, an extra playhead, and a few extra reverb algos. The only thing missing is continuous control over the input preamp.

I was pumped to get one at the time, and I remember reading mostly complaints about the RE-20--why so much money for just one sound, it doesn't even have presets, huhhhh? Go read some TGP pages from back then, it's hilarious watching them try to figure out what the appeal of an accurate, solid simulation of an iconic tape echo was.

I was planning on getting the RE-2 as a backup to my RE-20, but the RE-202 is tempting. A lot of the common user complaints addressed by the RE-202 were never a problem for me, personally--I like the preamp, I think the reverb is dope as fuck, and I don't need presets. But the extra playhead and control over age and saturation is compelling!
All very fair points.

I got a used RE-20 in 2014 for a ludicrously good price. So that means I might get a used RE-202 in 2029 if the earth or electricity are still around then.

One thing though is that the 2 seconds MAX delay time on the RE-2 and RE-202 is a bummer for me since I use the Long Delay Mode of the RE-20 about 90% of the time and I have the RE-20 on about 99% of the time. So....

But I agree about the user-complaints with the RE-20. Most of them aren't problems for me. The four-playheads of RE-202 is tempting. But since they "updated" that about the RE-202, why didn't they allow for ping-pong or the ability to control the stereo spread of repeats? And why not a max delay time closer to what the DD-500 offers?

:idk:

Anyone got a lead or hear anything about new Earthquaker stuff? Are we getting a new fuzz? Perhaps an expansion on their amazing DLL system? Something we can't even wrap our heads around yet? Who's got some rumors for me??

Chase Bliss has said they’re releasing something this week, mentioning a couple of years in development. Also they have a new logo that just looks like random shapes IMO, but I’ve never known logos to generate sound, so whatevs.

welp. apparently there's a furor over a leak. and pedals have been sent to dealers, so there's two points of speculation eliminated :snax:

I hope the Habit brings down Microcosm prices. Even with wait times at one week now, the gougers online are still demanding $500+ for used ones.

This is the first time I'm seeing that new branding. I'll admit that the old logo was definitely a bit dated feeling, and that new look isn't bad, but part of me really dislikes that it's got a strong Teenage Engineering vibe.

That aside, the overall design for the pedal is fugly as all hell.

Credible. Interesting. Multi-tap delay could actually be on an old BBD that was used in stuff like the ADA Stereo Tapped Delay. (MN3101?) I’m guessing digital, though, for sourcing issues since I don’t think Xvive or even Cool Audio have revived that one.

The first TE bootleg that will cost CB prixes?

This looks like a feedback looper + delay line, but the real question is

Google says it’s an experimental delay with memory.
