yeah...the only drawback in this awesome pedal is there is no mix control. Love the dry mix in the oto bisquit!

Lack of mix control is definitely a drawback.

Kill dry means you can work around it with a bit of work, and is good enough for me (but I'm running off a mixer, so not your typical pedalboard setup).

Manual still "coming soon"... there is good info in the TGP thread, including some midi details

Got my Mercury7 yesterday and had a bit of time with it. It's freaking amazing. I've stumbled on stuff like auto swells by accident and am having a blast. The knobs are extremely dynamic and change things so much with just the tiniest turn.

The heel to toe expression is amazing as well. I haven't figured out which parameters I enjoy messing with the most.

Obviously I need more time with it, but this is far from your standard verb. It's more like a destruction machine. It sounds beautiful or ugly with fuzz as well. I've tried fuzz before and after and both sound just as good.

When the manual is done, I think I'll really be able to dive it. I can't wait.

Do you know if it is dual mono?

Also, have you tried an Avalanche Run and if so, how does the auto swell compare?

I think one output is mono and one is stereo? Though it doesn't say on the quick start up...so I guess I can't be sure. I swear I read that somewhere, but again, not positive. It has an A and B output, so that's what I'm thinking at least. I tried both outputs and the the B worked better than the A, which is typical for me since I run everything mono vs stereo.

The swell on this is pretty different from the Avalanche Run to my ears. I need more time with it, but I think it's a bit smoother and natural sound than the Avalanche. I did have one and loved it but it was a tad flawed for me from what I recall.

The only thing I don't like so far is that if you cut the signal with expression using the mix knob, you can hear it reengage when moving towards the toe position. That's a tad annoying to me and makes it not usable if you are mixing completely in and out. It could though be the expression pedal. I'm going to try it with a different on today.

Also, the auto swell work really well with the mix way down. Which was cool as hell.

Yeah, not sure how much I like the AR either. Might have to try the Mercury7 and see if it would replace it although also considering the Roland Demora

elevenstrings wrote: PSA ON THE STUTTER:
If anyone wants to get the Ottobit Jr. strictly for the Stutter to replace a Raptio or Revolver or something, they may be disappointed. The Stutter is tempo-based and has kind of a "Marco. Polo." feel to it. It's not instantaneous. It reacts to the first note you play based on the tempo. The cool thing about it is that it's predictable so you can build riffs around it and repeat them predictably. You can infinitely stutter, but it will be on the "Polo" and it won't happen when you hit the switch, rather the next stutter. My raptio/Mandala/Revolver aren't going anywhere so this doesn't bother me, but this a very different kind of stutter than those. In that regard, I really like it. But if I was trying to replace a DD-5 with it, I wouldn't.

Sounds like Ultratap has me covered for stutter then.

I seriously need a manual (or try one) to convince myself I don't need the Ottobit Jr.

I got both of these and they actually lived up to the hype. Here's two videos:
Mercury7 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16EGp8vYVas
OttobitJr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5FXo5oR_tE

EDIT:
I forgot that I also did a short video with both of them together:
