in what I thought was a "regular" fashion. Apparently not.

Yeah. I think some amount of the slavering palaver of guitar forum anticipation is based on
the high and steady level of desire on the part of peeps who are drawn to the
sounds/ideas/approach of such quirky/functionally interesting pedals combined with the
understandably dicey logistics of being a small pedal-builder who actually has to live a
life and perhaps juggle all sorts of commitments and prioroties.

For forum-folk it can make for a fever-pitch of misplaced Christmas-morning anticipation,
and it's hard not to get one's emotions wrapped up into conjectural sonic expectations about
how "this pedal might save the soul of my sound and express the sound of my soul!"
The situation can easily bring out the Tiny Tim (The Charles Dickens character Tim Cratchit)
in anyone, even though that feeling is a misplaced self-pitying exaggeration of reality.
