Really loved that demo, very excited to see more of this and the vynil. I love it when pedal makers have an aural aesthetic going on, and I very much hear one with the Glitcher, and the previous 4. Also love light sensitive pedals bc I am a sucker for the kinds of stage antic possibilities they allow for.

The first show I played after my four year music hiatus involved me under a brown sheet with a headlamp, a drum machine/sampler, and an ipod, while my collaborator stood perfectly still above me, draped under a black sheet. I know it's cheesy as fuck, but I am a sucker for that shit. I mean you can have total control with light sensors, just gotta be creative and willing to look like a freak.

You are probably right, Ezhi keeps telling me the same thing. But let me be honest - I try to use some unconventional ways to make pedals. I mean, how do you make a glitch pedal is 2015? You order some DSP like FV-1 a lot of pedals are based on (like, 95% of the boutique digital pedals), set the feedback at 100%, assign the controls to change to length of the buffer - and you are good to go. I completely respect this way of making pedals. But it's not interesting to me. I scavenge for some absolete 90s ICs, bend them, burn them, try to tame them - and they do not really want it, they are old, limited in possibilities and just want to rest in the void of the forgotten microchips. But I keep pushing. And sometimes, I really like the result. Not everything I want from it works. But it works some other ways, I coulnd't even imagine. And it's totally cool, as my original intention is to make unique and strange pedals. That's why I do not produce delays, reverbs etc. I have some ideas, it's just not that interesting. The Glitcher could have the LFO, but it just doesn't sound freaky and glitchy enough with it.

Yes, in a way. First of all, the ICs and the whole conceps are different. Then, it only produces this "tape stop" things when you turn on the light sensor for the sample reduction. It's not the main feature here, just thought it would be cool to have it too. If the question is "can't you do all of it using a glitcher?", the answer is no. Not at all.

I got my Tape yesterday!

I only have about an hour playing with it but I'm loving it so far.
The biggest surprise to me is how versatile it is.
There are a lot of subtle settings to compliment the more over the top stuff
and the dirt sounds awesome even on it's own.

The only issue I'm having with it is that in "dirty" mode, the volume is quite
a bit above unity even at the lowest possible setting.
I've only tried it alone and not with my board so maybe I can tame it with
something later in the chain.

Overall it is a really interesting pedal with a lot of great sounds and think you doods are going to dig it.

Thank you! Yeah, the dirt is LOUD)))) It's basically a part of "why does it sound so nice" - it also overloads your amp's preamp to create such an effect. But basically - it's really loud for some dirty-noisy-chainsaw kind of music))
