Everyone needs a frog rasper. But I just bought a JC 120 (which arrived yesterday but broken by the way), and an Array Mbira, plus i need to fix my Silvertone amp, so I don't want to spend any more money.

First off I just want to say that this thread is just really great!

Could I ask where you got that?!

This guy must be using some sort of mixer for the mic, running the send of the mixer through the modular. Apparently part of his setup is a Reflex LiveLoop Sampler, which seems really really cool for messing with loops in real time (much more capable than the pedal loopers I've seen).

Yeah, synths & loopers are like foreign languages to me. I appreciate them, but don't really know 'em well.

Glad that some of you guys know how people are able to get the sounds they do.

Thank you young man. And it was just an ebay purchase. Supposedly the guy goes to SE Asia from time to time, and this was something he picked up one trip awhile ago.

I think you need one of these, Nora, it's an instrument that not too many people can play convincingly:

That was ace :snax: . Does the mbira have magnetic pickups or is it piezo?

Hi and thank you for your inquiry. It has 2 piezo pickups, one for the left half and one for the right half. As such, it has dual outs.

That's awesome, have you tried playing it through any envelope triggered fx? I can get some awesome stuff out of my crappy 15 tine mbira with auto wahs and envelope phasers, digitech synth wah etc. Loads of fun!
This one sounds absolutely beautiful!

Not yet. I just got it a few days ago, and I have really only tried it with what you see in the video, give or take a pedal or 2. I have a Tru Tron3X laying around somewhere that I can try. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ooooooh! Using each side to trigger a gate on the other side would get crazy awesome....
