Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom Oscillator

Another fuzzy hug moded for oscillating joy and happiness. All the knobs play a part in the greater picture, that is yer noise. This little gal does alot, and covers alot of musical ground, from synthy, melodic notes to full on madness-inducing oscallutinations. The diode-switchy knobbie thingy basically gives you seven quite different voices, all with separate oscillation characteristics. MY GOD... IT'S FULL OF SOUNDS. As usual with Tom, the graphics looks stunning (especially how the control labels blend with the picture). Yeah. YEAH!

Thanks, saw that. We actually talked about the demo back in march/april, so I'm hoping this is a sign that he's getting his social media on to release some new stuff.

Hm. The regular sounds are way less gainy, more "open and airy". That sucks as a description, but yeah, less extreme, more overdrivey in a way, while still havig fuzzy characteristics. It can get pretty bassy as well. Less bite than the Suneater, but more than the AB-Synth. I think. Maybe.

The oscillations can do a lot of stuff, so there is definitely some overlap between the two. Well, after playing all these pedals, there's overlap between most of them, just with different tonal characteristics. The ABs oscillations are generally fatter, more synthy, while the Algal gets kind of rawer in some settings.

Describing sounds is hard, man. And yet I do it for a living.

The difference between Ab and Algal is as described... The Algal's always gonna be more open and less gainy cause that's the way the circuit is... Out of my 20 Huggers the Ab is the one that I've gotten rid of and not replaced (yet) cause I like the rawer shit... See if Tom will do a Chalice w/ osc or even a latter GW w/ osc... The Chalice Rulezzz... Someone needs to order a Shitari...

Well hangdidangdoo, I's better give Timmy D one of ems electrical letters then. I have had my eyes on it for a while, and it definitely seems different from the Thujone. Need him to build something else first, though.
