Back when I was banding and gigging, I went through a phase of drinking before getting up there and I just got the shits with it after a while. I learnt to stick to water.
Things ran much more smoothly after that (even though I still sucked hard, it was a degree of suck less than when drinking).
Never had a problem with milk though.
I lurve dairy.
Love it.

Best pizza I've had lately was a pizza and brewpub in Salida CO. Their brew was ok at best, but their pizza was goddamn delicious. Had a greek pizza with olives, feta, spinach, pesto, and tomatoes (no meat here as gf is a vegetarian; starting to mind that less and less) on homemade. Dunno if it was the 200 miles I drove before that, or the delicious pizza, but goddamn I can't think of a more perfect food.

I think this thread is due for a renaming. Something like "a discourse upon the ethics of pedal design, religion, pizza and the appropriate amount and type of beverage to consume, pre vocal performance." Huzzah!
