Hey Ryan, will the BitQuest handle active basses (18V preamp)?

These are boxes 2 3 and 4
I was originally gonna go for 2, but couldnt resist 4
It looks like an abattoir floor or some junk.

Welcome to ILF, K-Man! The limiting factor in the BitQuest is the digital system, the datasheet says the max input voltage is 3VPP which is quite large, very large really. But I don't know how big the signal is out of an 18V bass, must be big too... I'm gonna say probably be fine but don't really know.
#4 is awesome, Ian, nice choosin'!
#23 for Jerrod, next up is Ash!
Here's a finished pcb pic, all that's left is burning the memory chips with the clean and dirty programs.
I've got to make some other pcbs today and then I'll lay out the parts to make some BitQuests!

Hey 18v bassers......invest in an Area 51 The Box Unity Gain Buffer thinger. Never worry about that again.

What's the point of an 18v bass? and whats the point of 18v if you're going to use a buffer to bring the voltage swing down to normal levels?

I assume they're for people that record straight into a digital box or something, or power amps?
the closest i got was a Musicman Sterling. That was pretty great but I didn't use the EQ much, just added mids

Re: The BitQuest Pre-Order! Box choices in first post!
Oh nice.
The letter from the customs office arrived today. I will go there tomorrow, early in the morning. After work I go straight (actually drunk...) too see a football match. So no Friday night bitquesting. My girlfriend's mother just called that she will visit us on Saturday. I think I will never actually play that pedal...
Does anyone already play the BitQuest at home?

Re: The BitQuest Pre-Order! Box choices in first post!
Hope it goes your way tomorrow, Franz!
The first BitQuest was sent out to my secret santa recipient in December, theactionindex, but Tom's was a distorted quest only. Then I sent out 3 a week or so ago, the remaining proto-pcbs, to Franz in Germany, Arjan in Belgium, and Willy in Oregon... I figured Willy's would arrive first but maybe it'll be you, Franz!

I like my 18V preamp. It I can dial in about 15db of boost to my sound if needed. You know to compete with loud a guitarist (haha). Most effects work fine with the my bass. Just sometimes the signal can distort the effect. Ryan has been really cool with the couple of questions I have asked regarding my bass. The bitquest is calling.
