I ordered mine through a shop because of the musicians friend dates.

Yeah...I've been jerked around on pre orders from musicians friend before. Never order from them unless they have stuff in stock...they always push back release dates.

Loctite is always an option. (Is it the blue that is lighter duty?) Keeps things uber cheap if you don't have string jumping problems.

Yeah I'm gonna try something like that. Also maybe filing out some of the slots for larger strings. I'm not rushing to buy a new bridge just yet, it'd be nice to make the stock one work. The non-adjustability of the mustang bridge kind of makes me wary of it though. This baritone neck is pretty flat.

I'm going to play the Jazzmaster again on Friday or Saturday and see how the strings settled into the new Mustang Bridge. Yesterday it seemed to work well though. I liked that on the CIJ Mustang Bridge you could adjust the hight with the screwposts similar to the standard Jazzmaster bridge

You can always slip bits of credit card or other plastics under the mustang bridge saddles...helps raise the height a little.

I thought the Squier Mustang had a Jag/Jazzie type bridge. Odd, that. Probably to do with the 9.5" radius

Completely unrelated, but I keep reading your posts in Saul Goodman's voice.

That's it, unfortunately, it won't cover where the chrome switch covers are, which could look pretty funky

I'm sure you could get Pickguardian or someone to make you one.
