yo yo

explaining it here might help me get on top of that spec sheet

so the CV/EXP jack is a 1/4" TRS (that's stereo). Sleeve is always ground, Tip and Ring are programmable via the micro switches.

If you're thing is expression pedal control, the Ring must be assigned to the internal voltage reference and the Tip to either CV Oscillator or CV Filter, or both.

Interfacing with synths or other misc voltage generators. The Ring can now be used as a second channel for interfacing with Randy's innards. The Tip can be CV Oscillator, CV Filter or Oscillator Output. The Ring can be CV Oscillator or CV Filter. This allows nice combinations of control for the willing.

is that reasonable?

thank you all for your continued support

:thumb: Thanks Guillaume.

So you mean it could be controlled by a CV control box (same type of things Ryan (Dr. Scientist) want to do with his Cosmichorus V3)?
You don't mean that RR could control other effects that have a CV input... right?

Both! CV Oscillator and CV Filter refer to controlling parameters inside the RR, Oscillator Output refers to having the RR's internal oscillator as an available voltage output. Keep in mind, the oscillator is turned off when the pedal is bypassed, this is important to eliminate any bleedthrough to your clean signal.

Interesting!! So if I get a stereo cable I will be able to connect Randy to the 4 Eyes?

Yes, you could even connect it with a mono cable.

The Four Eyes' CV input is the tip of its CV EXP jack. The sleeve is the common ground, the ring would be useless unless you wanted to control a paramater with something else. In that case, you could get a stereo split cable, 1 stereo to 2 mono (as in left and right). You would then connect one cable (the left I believe) to the Four Eyes, and the other voltage source to the second mono end.

seriously. the prospect of setting this dealio up with a Four Eyes and, say, a Moog LPF is PAINFULLY enticing. hello, synth on a pedalboard.

Well I paid mine off :yay:

I forgot about shipping though so in total for a US buyer it's around $280 USD with the pre-order bonus. So without the bonus it'll be around $320-$325 direct to the US. After the pre-order bonus is up it'd probably be better for US dudes to get it from a dealer.

Mine was only a few more bucks due to canadian and quebec taxes... but still a very nice price for Randy's Revenge.

Hey, will you review the pedal in EffectsWire?

Sure will, i have a lot of catching up to do! I've been focusing on writing my own music and I'm working on trying to release my noise/drone stuff. Once finals are done (first week of May) I'm going into straight review mode!
