I agree i like the knobs, by the way spaceflunky seems we have VERY similar tastes in pedals.....

I retract knob dislike upon seeing that sexy fucker in person!

I'm loving mine, haven't had a chance to rage full volume just yet, sadly. Surprised at first by how clean it could get while adding some sparkle. Similar to a SHO in those settings but with much needed gain and tone controls. Blasts the shit out of anything behind it set like this too.

And from there it just gets gradually meaner and nastier, anywhere from light grit that can be coaxed with pick attack or just dialed up for beefy fuzz. Can get ragged/splatty too, in a good way.

Thing sounds FAT too, like every B.A.T. release. Reminds me of my Fuck (which I adore) with a fuzzier character at high gain settings.

It is very fat, i found the depth at 4 to be more than enough. And the range from clean boost all the way to splattery is awesome. I'm mainly using it for the splattery stoner sound and its exactly what i wanted. Mark does it again!

This isn't the first rat he's built, half of James Haun's of Sourvein, Gemini Pedal, is a rat clone. The other side is a pharaoh i believe. I'm sure Mark will realize the demand for a black arts take on a rat pedal and consider it for a production pedal. :poke: I would buy one for sure, i'd probably be in the first 5 preordered actually. :hello: I can't wait to get my custom BAT LSTR->OCD pedal. :!!!:

BTW blind..... I WANT SOUNDCLIPS!!!! :poke:

I need to find a way to get some clips up! I do not have any recording gear handy. Maybe I should get a ZOOM for my bday!

Is Jame's Gemini plain or does it have a design on it? I kinda love the simple look of my Rat but I still wish it had some sort of evil egyptian skeleton rat on it. Hahaha

I've got a zoom h3n field recorder, its handy as hell.... sound quality isn't fantastic but it's not bad either, def gets the job done. Using an extrenal mic with it really helps. And their easy to use if your not recording equipment savvy...

His has custom artwork on it, i believe gr8 scott graphics has a picture of it on facebook. Its a mirror image design that is totally killer, i'm not sure who exactly did the design though, cause james is a tattoo artist and does alot of his own designs and i've never bothered to ask james or jason.

btw you could always water slide decal it with your own design and then go to an automotive store and get some spray laquer. Then take off all the knobs and tape off all the switches, led's, etc and clear the whole pedal once you put the decal one.

Got mine yesterday. And now I remember talking to Mark about the number. He asked which number I wanted, and I said, "Duh! I want #23!" We have a running joke about the Illuminati and are both fans of conspiracy theory, so #23 was a no brainer. And that's the one I got.

I dig it. Very versatile, and stunningly dynamic with the fuzz on anything less than dimed. This is my first time playing a Colorsound OD or derivative, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I really like it.

You guys take a gander at that gorgeous PCB on the inside. I did that!!

Mine instantly got a spot on my board. Great pedal imo.

I was just getting set on buying a Fuck, and now I'm feeling this too.

Maybe I just need both!

Are any of you guys noticing any fizzy/crackly decay?

I'm definitely getting it if I hold the note for a long time. Or pretty quickly if the gain is set lower.

I think mine might need some rebiasing. :idk: I'm going to probe the output of each tranny (haha, that sounds dirty) until I figure out where that odd decay is coming from.
