you can buy a Res-o-glass version of that body yourself and build one for way the fuck less than $900. Google it.

Sweet jesus those are fucking sweet. Like build costs turn out around $400-500 and seem way easier than working with wood. Jaguar/maton/airline bastard guitar here i come

.
If you do their kit yes. To actually do one all on you own.. wood would be easier.. you'd have to make a plug [foam or wood] then make a mold from the plug then do your layup... good thing if you want that those guys exist

in my ideal world they'd be doing the National "map" style, which i could have bought for $100 etc. etc.(/old man) but once i have financial wheels under me again i'm going to seriously look at one of the single-cut models. i've wanted a Resoglas guitar forever, decades before they were hip, even before Bob Dylan made them fashionable by playing one on the Hard Rain TV broadcast in the late 70s. and now that you can get Eastwood Airline necks on eBay...

Having a wound third is the way. Just put a set of 12-52s on my tele in drop c and it feels great having a .024w.

i love it for playing rhythm, but i can't bend a wound third up a whole step playing lead to save my life because i have little pussy mandolin-player-sized hands. well, in drop C i could, but not in standard tuning.

I was chiefing on the way home from work in a makeshift bong made of a Fiji bottle(incidentally with smartWater), a straw, and a pen cap. Was being super quite and introspective then I sudenly changed the station to about two seconds before the drum hit on Rod Stewart's Maggie Mae and I and just busted out singing along. Good time.
I also just came up with a great idea for my pedal board: Put the OD(shit, maybe even imitation fuzz face) in front of wah(currently first in order). That might be sweet and help me fit shit onto my board better.
I'm also trying to decide if I want to get more speakerage for my Carvin head or my Vox AC15(I could always use the Carvin's 2x12 as an extension for the Vox which is what I bought it for in the first place). Or if I check out a bunch of crazy looking old speakers at Music-Go-Round and see what I can trade my SS Yamaha Head and 1x15 bass cab that currently doesn't work.
I

Music Go Round. My current two guitars are pretty solid(one I've had four yearsish, factory blem) and my BM jazzy is great. Got some new pups in there and swapped the bridge for a mustang style, so point is, I just go nuts looking at amps and cabs. There's always an Orange somewhere. So many sweet cabs. EEUUUUUUGGGGGHHH I SO WANT TO GO THERE TODAY AND GET A 4x12 even though I totally don't need it. Pile of 7 speakers, through 2 amps, 115 total Watts(don't know how much that matters). It would be so rad, and I could run different effects through the signals....Euuuughghgh: EHX germy OD> MXR Classic Fuzz> Wah(wah-na get a new one)> Black Russian Muff> Ibanez DE7[Dry Signal] Second Voice, 7-band EQ> Pedal Tuner> Noise Gate> 100W Carvin Head> Some ridiculous 4x12 with paisley grill[Dry Signal][Wet Signal=Very tight slapback echo], Tokai Flanger(set very fast, think The Cure), VoxAC15(with spring reverb and tremelo> Extension Tube Works 2x12.
Oh my god, I would be so set.
