I bought my brother one of those kits when he was jamming with me a while back. They are pretty damn sweet for the money.
Lets do it!

Didn't he have a couple bankart repairs, too?

If you're gonna play drums....I suppose I could play guit through your rig. It'll be a burden, but you know, someone has to do it.

And louder, that's just plain awesome.

Let's do it! I'm getting a Tama Rockstar for 250 bucks this week.

i cant play a mean tambourine!?!?

Can you call it Generation Darkening?

Let's do this.....

conky wrote:I am down with this but if I were gonna do a HoF cover band, i would wanna play drums. Des has the coolest drumming, especially in the older days before he started playing double bass.

I'll do bass in a heartbeat. I can rock out the bass lines or the rythmn guitar lines with ease, but I can't shred Matt's solos due to my wrist. All those trills would kill me

And yes Des is one of the most badass heavy drummers out there, everything about his style is pure power. How he hits, the beats he writes, everything is just pure power.

Out of curiosity, how many people are running a combo with an outboard 4x12? How's that working out for you? I've been thinking about it as a good flexible solution for covering both full-on doom/post-metal setups as well as less amp-power-intensive applications.

I don't have a 4x12 but I do run my Fryette Memphis combo into my Matamp 2x12 when I want a little extra girth. The speakers aren't nearly as suited to the amp, though, so I rarely do it. When I eventually buy a Fryette Deliverance 60 head and a 4x12 from them, I'll hook up my Memphis combo when I want a quieter more vintage sound but with plenty of low-end and air.

I haven't tried it in a band situation yet but at home it fucking rules. It eliminated the boxy feeling of the deville and fattened up my toan overall. I haven't had it up too loud only about half way. Sounds good to me, though. :idk:
