There are some iphone/ipod apps that do that. It's best though to try and just be consciously aware of what you need, how different types of food relate, how your exercise goes based on what and when you ate that day, how you feel the next day based on what you ate after, etc. If you do want to keep specific track though (and don't have, or don't want to use an iphone/ipod), a good way of doing it is to write down meals/snacks you have regularly with their calorie total. Then you only have to refer to one number when you're adding things up.
Make sure you pay attention to other nutritional information though too. Look at what type of fat the food's you're eating have, and also the amount of sodium - among other things. You want mainly unsaturated fats and want to avoid trans fats and saturated fats (although if you are exercising intensely you will need a little more saturated fat than a sedentary person for joint lubrication). Sodium you will also need more of, however it's easy to go over the amount that is healthy. Red meat will help you put on muscle more than any other food, powder, or supplement, but they should be lean cuts to avoid taking in too much of the wrong fats. And, you really need to make sure you eat enough fruit and vegetables. A lot of people neglect those groups when they are trying to put on muscle. The thing is, even though they won't directly help you pack on muscle like meat will, they'll help your body be better at what it does and your exercise and health will benefit from it.
I've started to run on a bit, so I'll leave it there, but if you need any info just pm me.
P.S. Best after-workout burger recipe:
take 1 large egg and beat, add in 1/3 pound of lean ground beef, add 4 crushed saltine crackers, add 1-2 tablespoons full of chopped onion, sprinkle in some pepper. Shape patty (will be a little looser than a usual burger patty). Cook in buttered (or low fat substitute) pan. Add low fat american cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc. and ranch dressing (shop around for the best nutritional facts, the dressing will help get the calorie count up but you don't want too much fat). Serve on 12+ grain bread/bun. Done right this burger can be around 1,000 calories, maybe more. I like to have it with a large salad, and a few pieces of fruit.

I'm just now drinking Schlitz for the first time. I don't think I've ever been more proud to be from Wisconsin.

I have never seen a starwars movie.
I saw part of one in an Enligh class in highschool, but I fell asleep.

HA! ME TOO! About 30 minutes of Return of the Jedi when I was 5. I actually had no idea that Spaceballs was a spoof when I was a kid.

So I guess I called and left a message on the drummer I've been jamming with's phone, but I don't remember it at all. I only drank three beers and I remember going to sleep, so it's not like I was black-out drunk. I must have been sleep-calling. I've only done that once before, but that's when I was gobbling down Ambien like candy.
Oh well, at least I scheduled a jam session out of it, which I wanted to do anyway. I just need to convince this guy that I'm not an alcoholic who does a bunch of shit he won't remember while he's wasted in the middle of the day. Maybe if I go to sleep really determined to do other things they'll be done when I wake up. First task: cleaning my room. Then getting transfer papers done for school. Then, making checklists so I can figure out what I've done when I wake up.
Also, I'm writing this on the computer at work when I should be working. I love the night shift...and Dayquil

Yeah dude I have a fat essay due tommorow that I started today.
Definately can't turn it in late.
Fuuuuucckkk.
I'm writing a fucking semiotic analysis about zombies and I'm kinda high. I seriously thought it was due in like 2 weeks so I didn't start it. Then I found out yesterday that it's due tommorow. And I didn't really feel like starting it until today. I'm such a procrastinator.

Are you writing about how they are a poorly conceived trope, based vaguely on a far more interesting folk legend, used to very weakly substitute the fantasy element of the horror genre for a thin facade of scientific realism?
I just drove home from work bobbing my head along with a corn dog(think Muppet kind of back-forth dance) to INXS. It's amazing how your mood can shift from "kill me now" to delightful once your 40 hour week is up.

No we had to pick a cultural phenomenon and explain it's popularity with other culturally significant events.
So I chose zombies and explained it with the war, 9/11, swine flu.. You know. All that shit that I don't believe that my professor wants to hear..
That essay ate my lunch...

I have a take-home final due in 6 hours that I started writing two hours ago. I'm not motivated to do anything now that I'm graduating Saturday. I wouldn't even bother but my professor made a big deal that I was taking an advanced course in English Lit when, not only wasn't I an english major, but I was also an economics major.
So I feel like I'd offend her if I failed the final otherwise I wouldn't even show up to take the test. I have a high enough overall gpa and enough credits that getting an F or a D wouldn't hurt my A- average too much, but I'll go because I need letters of recommendation for grad school.

Well, let me be the first to say congradulations. Yes, GRAD.
Confession: I love bad puns.
