I'm starting to get severely gas free. Realised what I need and don't. The hunt for the last fuzz for my board is still ongoing, but I'll be swimming in oscillating fuzz soon. Year 4545 is awesome, but not really the sound I was going for. But the Ugly Face, AB Synth and Wolf Computer should all be nice candidates. If none of them fit the weirdly specific yet abstract idea I have, I might just get an Arc Flash Oscillator, because yeah. Got a weird boner for the Arc Effects Crimson King, but it doesn't seem to do weird and it's red and stuff.
Other than that, I think Is gots all Is needs. Seems I'll be getting a fancy analog delay for christmas, which is one sound I do miss. Maybe I need more glitch?

I didn't like the year 4545 and the AB synth for the same reason, the pedal sounded great and did awesome things but the timbre wasn't as flexible as I wanted, even though the rhythm, pitch and speed the sound moved was very flexible.

Really would love to find a synth like this but, like, actually affordable.

Brian is still going to refine the 4545 last I was told, so I think a lot of people will love it after he gets around to that. The AB wasn't my thing either.
I'll never be GAS free. I'm gasing for stupid expensive pedals thanks to my friend Excane. UGH! I'm on a Toneczar kick. GOD DAMN IT. Seriously, most expensive shit ever, but sounds soooooooooooooo good. I have a Halophase on the way and am on the waiting list for the new version of the Openhaus. Now I want a Vault and and a Echoczar...and a Powerglide...and well...yea all of them.

Yeah, the reason why I like but don't love the 4545 is that it sounds a bit too compressed (?) or something for my playing. I prefer more open, harsh sounds. I like when fuzzes get synthy, but the 4545 can be a bit to muffled. Or something. I like it, but will probably get rid of it. Any takers? (Edit: jwar is faster than lightning, and now lives in the year 4545.)
But wait, this is a GAS party after all, not a "boohoo the pedal doesn't magically turn my brainwaves into sound" thread. GASing for the EAR AD4096, which is the delay it seems I might be getting for christmas because my parents are awesome. And the Count to 5 still seems interesting, though I'm not entirely sure if it would fit in with what I do.

Hope you dig that Casino.
Hope so too, I have a return policy and all but if I don't LOVE LOVE LOVE it I'll still be paying it off for months anyway.
Just wanted something radically NOT Fender single coil at home and been down the Les Paul etc path in the past and my early years were playing anything with a bucker metalsurplus stuff, so alternate singlecoils were it.
I did not mind my lawsuit-era 335 clone that I had a few years back so thought I'd go with similar yet even further down the rabbithole.
It was that or a moving-pickup jazzbox.
And frankly I can't see myself loving something that consistently dark.

really gasssssssing for synths and a bass vi and weirdo drone stuff sometimes.
i really want to be in a band with two guitars and bass vi. i actually want to play guitar in it. but i just want it to have cool synchronized parts where the riffs all converge into the ultimate heavy.

There's one for sale on VSE right now for $550 which seems like a good price. I've always loved the look of those old rolands but never played one.
