how do you compare it to the seppuku octave drone?

As far as I can tell its a clone of the foxx tone machine, and sounds pretty conservative compared to the seppuku which is just out of control and does weird volume swells etc. and is VERY dynamic and responsive to your playing, an altogether different beast that can output just garbled noise

I probably should have bought one.

It came with some cool Boris swag, and it's covered in a velvety cloth kinda like the original foxx. Also signed by Wata inside :joy:

^ You sure it's a Foxx clone? I thought it had been identified as a Muff with germanium diodes (although I think the Tone Machine used germanium diodes, too). Whatever it is, it's loud and gnarly, which pretty much captures the Boris sound for me.

It's purely conjecture...it's definitely an octave fuzz and the velvety foxx like enclosure made the association for me, I havnt done a side by side with my foxx but I did try stacking it with my masf x phantem fx Sabbath big muff clone and they sounded downright insane :!!!:

I posted a gutshot in the GAS thread, so maybe someone more savey than me can identify it?

FAP FAP FAP! I seriously can't for mine to arrive. How much volume does it have on tap? Is it classical "over the top" MASF, or more true to the original fOXX?

Nice rundown of the controls! Really wish you'd skip buying one pedal and get a camera with a better microphone instead though.

Those octave up sounds around the 9 minute mark are glorious.

Here is a listen to the TWA Little Dipper envelope controlled vocal formant filter, with a nanoverb in front hitting it with an infinite reverb setting.

That had some nice sounds in it. I liked how it would kind of move subtle-like at points but never get that over the top vowel sound. Some of the modulations (were they from the nanoverb or the dipper?) sound really awesome while you let it feedback.

That's a v. 1 right? Mine is--I like it at least as much for when it doesn't act like a filter should as for any of the hotcha formant tricksiness.

I liked how it sounded too, in normal operation the little dipper lights light up as the envelope opens and go dark when it closes...because the nanoverb was set for infinite sustain/reverb the envelope was always open so the vowels never really...ended? And the artifacts from the nanoverb caused those cool modultions....I think. It turned out sounding really cool for what ever reason. :thumb:

Yeah it's a v1, I had to have one after getting their Trikelion filter. Awesome pedals that I'm going to get a lot of use out of. I'm tempted to get the mkII Versions of both

Awesome :!!!: Hopefully you'll be able to post pics and clips :thumb:

So we recorded about 35 minutes of fuckery with it today. Ill sift through it and find some good shit and post it in the next day or two. It's actually a Boss Rack Delay, not reverb, and it fucking insane.
