The one thing I remember about my 200s is that the mids were lacking. Lots of bass and lots of highs but it was never thick. Specially compared to my YBA-3. But the 2000s has a contour knob that's supposed to act like mids, which I'm hoping someone can chime in and confirm.

I'll probably always get luckier finding a v4 for much cheaper than I'll ever find a 2000s, but who knows, I'm patient enough to find out. There's actually a V4 locally for $350 that "needs a new power switch" ....I'm having a hard time not hopping on that.

Remember when I posted awhile back that my guitarist snagged a 2000s for $150? He's selling it. It needs new tubes (some are missing) and cleaning up. I haven't laid eyes on it other than pictures. Once he got the AOR in he fell in love with it and decided to sell the Sunn to free up cash for a drum kit since we kicked our drummer out. If you're interested I can put you in touch with him.

Yes, please. I sent you a PM.

(I might have sent this reply as a PM too, whoops)

for a clean platform ehhhhh no, but for dirty + overdrive pedal? oh fuck ya. i miss mine already. and if you keep the gain down it sounds like a passable 2203. also resell is waaaay easier on a marshall then a carvin.

Cleans are pretty important to me - I'd much rather spend time finding a dirt pedal set that sounds great than suffer through an amp that has substandard cleans, especially since I probably won't be in a position to run the amp wide open in the immediate future.

CARVIN FTW. The other guitarist in Khemmis has one and it rules. Takes pedals really well, very thick sound. Pretty dark. The onboard dirt is pretty solid too.

As long as it's not a transformer, hit it at that price.

Have you guys seen this yet? My inner 14 year old self really wants to like this as Nailbomb and Sepultura were two of my favorite bands back then but really... the parts are bigger than the whole of this "supergroup". This sucks from what i hear so far. I'm waiting on the rest of the album, but I'm not expecting it to be any better than these two songs.

I expected very little and was therefore not disappointed. How anyone thought having Max in that band was a good idea is beyond me. I love 80s Sep as much as the next guy, but he's been doing the dumb riffs/JUMPDAFUKKUP shit for so long that I don't think he knows how to do anything else.

Totally gotta disagree with you dude. Max, the dumb riffs, and the JUMPDAFUKKUP shit is the only good part of this whole project. The clean vocals suck super hard. The melodic parts are lame.
good deals are here.

NICE. How does it sound? It's supposed to be pretty close to the Ironheart 15, right?

1. Congrat Krosis...thats a hell of a little practice amp
2. I'm with Pope, turn that grill upside down...it helps with the tones

Ok, enough dad jokes.
Seriously though, that's three of us, in a row.
CONSENSUS.
ONE OF US.
Also, get a a little plate made up to replace the Laney one that says "Tony".
Madballs.

On a serious note, I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on it. It seems like a cool little combo. $600 or so seems reasonable, too.
Which means the flip will be even cheaper....if people start flipping them.
After my Dunwich plans come to fruition I'm gonna need a practice amp. Starting to eyeball my options.
