Conky, mojo sent. What I understand about carpal tunnel surgery is that it's one of the simplest and most reliable orthopaedic surgeries since pretty much all they do is cut the ligament that occludes the median nerve when it's inflamed. Make sure you do solid physical therapy afterward! Even including stuff for your elbow and shoulder, as odd as that may sound, it can really help.

Dude much fuckin mojo sent! I've only got 80% usage of my left hand due to having a grape sized cyst in my wrist for 6 years and then tendon damage from the surgery to remove it, that's why I play low n slow. I hope you make a quick and full recovery!!!
I also have a cyst that will pop up about once a year on the top of my wrist. We have fun with it in the E.R. and stick an 18 gauge needle in it and drain it odd. Shit looks like apple jelly. I haven't had one in about 2 years now though so hopefully I'm doing something right.

Its gotten so bad that I'm sometimes having referred pain to my elbow from it. The nerve conduction study found that my elbow and shoulder were good to go though.

Nice looking cab.

Conkers, glad to hear that they are saying they can fix it. The worst feeling I've ever had was when the ortho docs told me there was nothing they could do for mt back condition and I'd just have to deal with it. Fortunately rheumatology had a different outlook.

Conk, that blows about your wrist dude, much vibage sent your way.
But, as amorphous mentioned (nice 215 by the way dude), that is a great prognosis, and as everyone else said (and you know anyway, working in health) DO THE PHYSIO AND YOU'LL BE FINE.
Cheering for you dude. I want to hear more Dead Hand, not hear about more dead hand.

Phasers: I love phasers, I've currently got a 90, but I'm gonna off it soon cause I just prefer vibe. And I need some cash. I really like the 90, It's nice and syrupy. It just sounds too cheesy jet plane swoosh after dirt. As DoS mentioned though, cleans.....mmmmm.

another funny thing about earth being posted right now is that earlier i was reading the thread and thinking about a conversation i had with dylan once about carpal tunnel. he had it really bad at one point and got the surgery and he said it was pretty much a miracle cure. fixed him like he had never had it.

as far as the phase 90 thing, maybe the whirlwind orange box is a better option. it's what mike has and it's a vintage spec phase 90, as opposed to the newer ones.

I hear awesome shit about whirlwind, but I can't gel with the fact they are basically MXR with true bypass at that price point.
Also, old sunn speakers to go with peavey sheffields?
Edit: they are 81-0236's from a beta 402 4x12 cab.
Sunn catalogue has the 4x12 rated at 200w@4ohms, but other sources seem to say it was 100w. I kinda wanted them to be rated 50w or above (as the sheffields are 75w) but if they are 25 I'll pass. What's actually the deal with the rating? Sunn O))))verating? Or mislabled?

I'd never really checked the price point before now, but they're $129 at sweet water right now. Doesn't seem too bad really.

As far as old sunn, I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that a lot of old sunn gear was criminally underpowered.

$129 isn't too bad I guess, considering its no doubt got some higher quality components and is an amendment to the mxr circuit...but you can get a used 90 on the cheap and DIY some of that shit with relatively little hassle. I dunno, I'm a tight arse.

Hmmm....underpowered....to a criminal degree. That sucks.
