I've seen that. Shipping from you to here and waiting 12 months has put two of my mates off going with yourself otherwise I'd have both of them buying off ya.

This explorer deal pretty much fell through. I called a bunch of times, he answered one more time, he apologizes for not answering, gives me a story about how he is driving to guitar center for something and to call him back later to figure out a time. Call back and nothing.
Gah I thought I was finally in the home stretch, I want a new guitar so I can have it at C because it doesn't sound quite doomy at E. Anyone reccomend a cheap 600 dollar-ish guitar with a great dark sound with awesome sustain? Was looking at these gibson sonex from the 80's although the look doesn't seem appealing if it gets the job done I'm cool with it.

Yeah I ran into that this past weekend, I was supposed to pick up a Acoustic brand 8x10 bass cab for 250$ and the seller had great communication all the way up till the night before when he was supposed to send me a phone number and address. I feel for you bro.

That's happened to me twice with the same guy trying to buy a pedal off of me. Great communication up until money is discussed.
So, I traded it! HAHAHAH FUCK HIM.

So I pulled the trigger on a Marshall JCM 800 Superbass 1992 from '81 that i'm going to use for guitar with my Verellen Meatsmoke pre pedal. It comes with Sovtek 6550WE. Can these tubes be changed to KT-88s? Is there a different 6550 that I might want to use? Thanks.

you can swap 88s in but probably not so useful. However if its one of the SB JMP models then its a rarer Marshall that had a baxandall stack. Would need to know the plate voltage and screen voltage.

Would you recommend a different brand of 6550?

I've never heard of a bass version of a 800. Should be awesome. Congrats.

Yeah it's not even like I'm trying to swindle him, just trying to buy a fucking explorer so I can have a guitar at C and a guitar at E standard.
On another note tried the Rat stacked with a DODclassic fuzz (which sounds kinda like a big muff). Fucking crazyyyyyy like jeebus christ it was rattling the walls with how much gain it had, not much definition though and too much of a noise floor that actually competed with the chords I was playing lol.
I think I might just do the OCD thing as a boost.

I can't wait for my guitarist to get another head so I can start running a dual rig again. I feel like a jackass if I run two amps and he only has one. My OCD has gotta keep it evened out.
