I saw "Ogre - The Last Neanderthal" and started singing it to the tune of Denver, The Last Dinosaur.

Ogre, the Last Neanderthal. He's my friend and he has a maul.

They played like half of TLN last time I saw them. Super stoked for The Hermit, which is real funeral-y, and this one:

This band rules.

Also, that rig is fucking excellent.
Why thank you good sir! :)
conky wrote:Also, just got an email back from that guy on Craigslist with the Matamp GTO. Says now he'll take 1500 for it. Hit it or quit it?
$1500 is IMO within the reasonable zone. And its a UK Matamp right? As long as it made it across the atlantic in one piece you should be fine as far as reliability as its one of the newer models. I'd say grab your pedalboard, head over there and give it a run through. If your spending that much loot and its local there's no reason to not actually play through it first and make sure you like it. If he's not willing to let you jam on it there, or bring it to you in some way shape of form to try out then I would definitely pass.

Sounds good man, the echo on the vocals fit the kind of lonely, desolate feel of the track. If that's the demo, the album track should sound killer.

Fucked the fuck up what Whores had to go through. I have to think it's an issue with who is actually pressing the vynl and I bet at this point Putal Banda are shitting bricks and working on getting a new thing going with a different company. If not they are dumb and deserve what will follow.
Hopefully this.

I'm considering offing my Orange 2x12 in favour of a hiwatt hg412.
This one:

Thing is, I dunno if the "hiwatt designed speakers" are worth it. Could they be any worse than vintage 30s?
I want to get a 412 eventually, and I was thinking Hiwatt or Orange are the way to do it right now.
All reports say these sound ok. I don't think anyone in Brissie stocks em though.
Nothing Hiwatt about that stuff, I can't remember what they sound like but I'd imagine it's on par with Marshall MG cabs. Nowhere near an Orange.

No label, no name, no experience booking anything outside of our hometown (Oakland) but I want to play Portland/Seattle this summer. What should we do? The same thing goes for LA but that is good for any time this year. We've got a bunch of material that we're looking to put up on bandcamp. It's ambient, drone, doom, instrumental stuff that is mostly if not all improvised. Any recommendations? I'll do anything but pay-to-play and we're willing to play with just about anybody that's good. Our sound fits in with a lot of different styles.

I think, at the very least, you're gonna need a name.
