How easy is it to replace a truss rod on a Squier Standard Stratocaster? 2002 I think.

I love the guitar and the color but the truss rod head is worn. The Allan wrench doesn't do anything anymore.
The guy said that he'll return me the money if I'm not feelin' it, so I just might.

Return it, not worth the trouble/effort.

I don't know how much, but I can assure you that doing that will be more trouble than it's worth.
You could buy a replacement neck for probably under $100.

SO much this. If you can get ahold of some clones and cover the rent for 5 months or so depending on how many clones you get...you might need to make a mother first before you can get your grow on. Best advice is best.

There's plenty of great places to order seeds from online too.

True, but if he has to swing paying all of the rent it would be a LOT quicker to get ahold of enough clones to get started with depending on what medium he wanted to grow in. Then after his first grow he could rent a whole house to himself and have a grow-room, veg room, jam room?? etc...and go from there. It makes sense to go with seeds cause you can gross breed your own strains which is a lot of fun, but for cash cropping clones are fast.

Ladies and gents, we now know how UG pays for all his pedals ;)

Not a peep from anyone I've interviewed. Got one more job lined up. If that falls through I'm giving up on job searching for a while. Not worth the pain.

I remember mentioning once before that I was sure he was a drug baron.
I will admit I paid for a bit of gear with ill gotten gains back when I was growing larger amounts than I do now. And clones are definitely the way to get started quickly. I would much rather green housemates than the regular people kind.

My dad took at spill and fucked himself up pretty bad. Black eyes, broken ribs and needed a shoulder replacement. Dude has been a tank for 70 years and now seems like he is falling apart. I feel like shit because I didn't find out for 3 days after the fact but I am in CT and he lives with my older sister in PA. I wish I could spend more time with the guy but with my job, my wife's job and our 2 year old son, it aint easy going 4 hours one way in a car. I might have to plan a weekend trip sooner than later.

That really sucks dude. I can empathize. It is so fucked how old age sneaks up behind us and beats us down. My dad turned 70 last year. He is getting a bit unsteady on his feet, also has emphysema. It's strange because he hasn't smoked in my lifetime and I'm 43. Hope your dad pulls up ok.

Thanks. I think he will recover just fine, hopefully. When I called him to see how he was doing I told him "From the stories you've told me, you've done a lot of crazy shit in your life, I don't think a fall is going to take you out."

Yea, just this week my mom was diagnosed with emphysema, but she also smoked like a chimney until she quit when my son was born.

I feel like our parents generation was cut from a different cloth. Built like the cars of that era, solid. They can take a lickin' and keep on ticking' :thumb:

My laptop is fucked up.
I don't have the money to get it fixed/buy a new one, because I had to put some of my tuition on my credit card while waiting for my financial aid to come in.
I normally would be fine without a computer, but since I don't have much money I torrented all my textbooks and they're on there.
God fucking dammit.
Might have to sell more of my shit than I would like to.
