So my bros got their license to grow commercial weed today- apparently the 2nd license issued in the state. I'm gonna do some work for them this weekend, finalizing the space they'll be working out of. If things go well, I may be working with them fulltime in about a month. My dad (weed enthusiast, failed grower) would be so proud, but he's dead. Unfortunately, this means I will be missing the Infinite Flux show tonight as I'll need to get up early- imagine that, "can't party dudes- gotta get up in the morning for weed business". Strange world.....

Being a dad is the most rewarding ever, especially when you have a rad ass turd for a son like me. He got this note sent home the other day but when I read it I couldn't be mad.

Tell the teacher that you don't view it as a problem. And if s/he does, then they can politely and quietly eat a dick while your son prepares himself for rockstardom.

Yep. That settles it. Fuck power supplies and setups and things I need. I'm gettin me a DLS posthaste.

Ran the battery out(*doh) last night listening to a dark tower audio book after getting here. Thank you roadside assistance. The one thing that makes full coverage livable.

On another note, figured out how to comfortably make long distance drives... audio books. They really pass the time.
We listen to shitloads of podcasts and comedy albums on the road.
These things. I started listening to the Game of Thrones audiobooks last year when I was having to travel quite a bit for meetings and shit - I was amazed at how much better they make long drives by yourself. Comedy albums have always been a staple of my roadtrips though.

Won't be working the plants this weekend- except maybe moving starters in from other locations. Will let you know if your expert skills are needed- and at the very least, I'll try to bring you a sack next time I'm rollin' in T-town

I would think carpentry and electrical at this point.

Get your licensed buddys to come out too, then you'll all be on the same schedule!

Seriously though, glad you've got something lined up. Now's the time to get in that shit too.

If anyone else is in Sea town tonight, we'll be at the HIghline around 9:00. Come on by and say hi.

Bout to see Btbam. Their last album turned me off but I've been wanting to see them for years. Couldn't have worked out better cause it was literally on my route home. I could have just stopped in a random town or......go and see some metal. I'll pick metal.
P.s. I'd have seen tool if they were on my route home.

"This just in"

...deafheaven sucks too.

(Although I'll give the bassist a pass because he plays a t-40)

Deafheaven doesn't suck, just over hyped. Their two albums are good but for some reason they got picked up by the media as an awesome band that everyone should love. And so a lot of people who would not be into the music go to the shows and "love" the music and really just bring down the experience of being at the show. I like the band and sunbather is good but certainly not the spectacular level that all the blogs and other media have trumpeted it to be as a must have album.

You want to talk about bands/styles that I really don't jive with, Between the Buried and Me is near the top of the list. I've had approximately 5,000,0000 people try and convince me that they're the best thing ever of all time the greatest.
