I mean I have a healthy regard for the rights of the individual but c'mon now.

Nope and neither did the government. Comcast did here, and I pay them $ every month for service and for infrastructure. The way it should be.

Good thing you avoided this thread until now: we've been missing the memes.

Now, do you have a minute to tell me about your lord and savior Gary Johnson?

I had to make up for lost time.
It's out of my system now.
I am my own lord and savior.
I will be voting for Gary for prez though.

Can I just say that Gary Johnson has been waiting years for this opportunity and every interview I see with him, he is the most boring, disinterested turd.

How so? He seems excited to me. An why do you keep calling the dude a turd? Trump I would understand but someone that goes through life in a perpetually good mood?

Cruz never really had a chance, he was a big part of the reason the government got shut down.. how the fuck can anyone take serious the person that kept trying to stop the government from working to be in charge of the government.. even if you agree with some of his ideas you'd have to consider him weak. The only reason he stayed in so long if the fucking Teapartiers.. after all all they really are is a corporate backed more sellable more tv ready version of a libertarian.
I tried to avoid this thread.
Lots of libertarian hate going on but I couldn't keep quiet about this. Cruzand the tea partiers are not Libertarians. Not even close. We just want the government out of our lives. I will agree that some of my fellow Libertarians are bat shit crazy and unrealistic but hey that's ok, we live in a free country.

By "corporate backed more sellable more tv ready version of a libertarian" I am not talking about actual Libertarianism but the way the Tea party is presented uses a lot of Libertarianismish verbiage to fool people into thinking that a corporate backed faction of the RNC isn't a corporate backed faction of the RNC. I was not actually commenting on Libertarianism.. which it might sound funny coming from a progressive but my biggest problem with is it seems a bit pollyanna :idk:

Believing in property rights but not government is like believing in water but not hydrogen.

I guess it's a good thing he's a libertarian and not an anarchist.

prepare for baseless generalizations
The main issue I've had with being a Libertarian is that it seems a lot of Libertarians (or at least the ones that are noticed the most) are either psuedo-anarchists that are on welfare/work in lower-level government jobs for money, rich conservatives that want to seem more down-to-earth than Republicans, and your crazy motherfucker that thinks we should be able to sell heroin to 10 year olds because "freedom."

I imagine most of the sane Libertarians are like sane Republicans and Democrats, they don't shout from the rooftops about shit no one really cares about.
