Looks like my Purple/Green All Weed All Wizard All The Time Masterpiece will have to wait.
Oh well. Need to keep money in the bank for the Infanem Disc Echo anyway (when is that fucker coming out?!)
But seriously. Spacey Jams. Like Queen Elephantine, or Bong. Hit Me.

Also, Pandora's failing me. Need some spacey heavy cosmic jams that aren't the usual UFOmammut/Colour Haze/Earthless jank. Anyone got any good recs? In return I will offer you pre-NBA basketball footage from the 1940's.

First off, hell yes a Subie.
Second, look at those fundamentals

Other than our resident feathered headdress himself, you mean?
You should check out Whores and Donny's bands while you're at SXSW.
Also, welcome.

I'm pretty sure I've shared our little improv peice a couple times here but I still like it when in the mood for spacey relaxed heavy.

Skip man, very cool on the v drums. those are an under utilized resource. I prefer the sound of an acoustic drum set but you can do some crazy things with those. If I was a drummer I think I would end up with a mixture of both.
As for GTO's, I'll take a Judge in black plz.

Thanks dude! With three kids in the house under the age of 7 acoustic drums would be a nightmare. I figure the v-drums would be alot easier to have a manageable volume level if I form a band and practice at my house, but it also has the added benefits of allowing me to record drums with ease (they would get heavily effected anyways so acoustic vs electric is a moot point) and if my son decides he wants to hop on the kit and learn he can put on headphones and not disturb anyone else in the house.
As far as the mixture thats what alot of speed drummers do, because you have to hit so lightly with your feet and on the snare to get the insane speed if they don't have triggers they can be almost inaudble so using triggers allows them to hit as fast and as hard or as light as they need to but make every hit audible. It's just an absolute pain to gig with IMO. If I form a new band I would want the drummer to use an acoustic kit live, so I have an excuse to crank my amp.

Danny Carey does triggers and such with an electro kit scattered around his acoustic kit.
That man is a goddamn beast.

Yes he does, he also has drum techs and 4 hour sound checks to make sure it all works. He used to use these siemens or something a rather octopad things that had 8 zones and he had them scattered throughout his kit so he could do any sound off any album. Fucking insane.
Oh fucking hell yeah he is.
Random info: Apparently they are getting ready to tour again and signed Yob on for the dates in the PNW. Dog Damn I hate being on the other side of the country.
